    About RN Wines
The unique partnership that has lead to the creation of Ryan Nelsen Wines is borne out of a passion for fine wine, a passion for New Zealand and a desire to share both with the world. Ryan has partnered with leading wine industry identity, Jeff Poole to create an exceptional range of wines working with leading wineries and winemakers. Ryan and Jeff tasted extensively to determine the styles of wine they wanted to share with you before approaching only the finest wineries to craft their vision.

We wanted to produce wines with oustanding drinkability coupled with sophistication and delivering extraordinary value.
    Ryan Nelsen
Ryan Nelsen is an internationally recognised sporting personality best known for his performances as Captain of the New Zealand "All Whites", the only undefeated team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Following an eight year career at Blackburn Rovers and, more recently, Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, Ryan is now contracted to Queens Park Rangers (QPR). His knowledge of professional high performance sport combined with his entrepreneurial flair and energy has resulted in Ryan becoming extremely well connected on the international sporting stage.

Ryan’s love of wine was ignited through his time in the UK, experiencing the finest wines from around the world and further encouraged by his sister, a vigneron in Australia. With his extensive exposure to international wines, it has been New Zealand that has always provided his favourite wine experiences.

Low-mid range, should be tasty but not memorable - an everyday glass. Marlborough region Sauvignon blanc is usually a very good white - Oyster Bay nice.

Hope Nelsen is available today - it was a long flight back for a old man, but at least he's probably sensible enough not to have watched movies and drunk port all the way. Thought he added some solidity and calmness at the back v City, especially when Ned came on.

My brother's friends with Nelson's best mate. He's an ESPN commentator in the States.
