anyone think he would be a decent option in the summer? Only 25 been away from Liverpool for two season's were he was never going to be a hit with him in and out and in and out of the side. Played 25games this season at Hoffenheim and has got himself a few goals so one thing is for certain he is getting a regular run out. I think if the lad is available for 5 or 6m max he would be a good option competiting for the left sided spot with McClean
I always thought he'd be class given a run. I'd want him on loan first, so we can send him back if he's ****.
Agree with this, the lad certainly has talent and the lad seems to be like he is a confidence player. Under MoN I think this lad could be a really top player
I thought when Benitez went, Hodgson would have given him games, but it never happened. The lad is over 6 ft as well, if you could get him to use his size, and pace, he could be a real weapon. He is very good on the ball, and if MON could get him using his attributes right, he could be very good indeed.
Only problem then is we loan him and don't sign another striker, and it turns out he's ****e and we get no goals
wouldn't really say he is an out and out forward, he can be used there and was fantastic there for Holland in the u21 tournament when he hit the big stage but I would play him as a wide striker/winger
Hmmm if we missed out on our first target maybe. He does have bags of talent, thought he'd do better at hoffenheim though. Saying that gylfi siguurdsen isn't good enough for them apparently
In honesty mate, maybe twice, and both times he's looked annoyed/frustrated. He has the talents, he just needs the right kind of manager, and if you think what MON's done with Killgallon, as a prime example, who knows. Like I say, i'd want a loan period first, as i'd expect they'll be looking around £8million. Parker, Sigurdsson is a prime example, the club is struggling, despite having several talented players, could just be that there is a problem at the club, rather than with the individuals. I'd take Isaac Vorsah off them as well, he's a hulk!
Whenever I've seen him, all you would get, over say 90mins, is 10mins of brilliant skill/shot/pass etc and then 80mins where he looked like a horse with five legs.
Hot to say I'm in this camp. I don't think if has either the physical or mental strengths to play in the EPL. I always thought he could make it, after I first say him in the European under 21's championships some 5 or 6 years ago but he couldn't cut it for me. McClean has come in from a much lower position but has all the physical and certainly all the mental strength required. I'd like to see us in for more hungry footballers like this.
