If you read between the lines RVP's signing will be dependent on wether we are going to further strengthen this summer. The MAIN issue is our squad size. We currently have 34 'first teamers'. and we are only allowed 25 next season. So we have to sell immediately an if we cant sell them - Wenger cant bring anyone in. It's a stupid sitaution to have such a huge average squad ALL on decent wages. The only way forward is for Wenger to be decisive and cut the squad of it's 'dead wood'. This creates more of a problem with the RVP situation. (who is demanding we add more quality to the squad) I cant see Wenger doing this and therefore perhaps Van Persie IS destined to leave us.
