In that case, why get so uptight about things Thai? Just sit back with a beer and watch the football. In the time-honoured phrase "Que sera sera". People on here often seem more intent on damaging their own health than supporting the club. Did anyone expect us to beat Newcastle? No independent observers did. If people want us to stay in the PL, they will get their wish as long as we accumulate more points than three other teams (which we are well capable of doing and in all probability will do). If some "supporters" would prefer us to be back in the Championship, they may get their wish, but probably not this season or in the near future. The chief grumblers seem to think we should be turning on the style every week and putting all but the top six or eight teams to the sword home and away. They are certainly going to be disappointed, but that's nobody's fault but their own. As for today, it wasn't all bad, and we could have come away with a draw. I disagree with those who said Newcastle were poor. There's a lot of skill in that side, and a lot of power. They outplayed us, and out-powered us, as they will a lot of teams.
We are OK at home but away from home we all know CH will go 4 5 1 and try to hold on for dear life, as soon as we concede his plan has failed. Some managers would think, **** it we are 2 down why not bring on some fresh attacking players and try to reduce the deficit as we are already losing maybe get something from this. The magic time is after 70 mins so the replacements have time to get in to the game 88 min subs are used only to waste time or bolster a winning team defensively, the fact that Hughton can watch 88 minutes of that crap before thinking of changing things makes him a bad manager in my opinion and not just today .
Several of these players of which you speak performed total heroics to help get us where we are today (albeit by the skin of our ****ing teeth) because Lambert managed in some way, to get them performing above their natural level. Hughton has them, week by week, retreating further into their shells to the point of being inept / woeful / totally out of their depth. Unless we blame the tea lady, of course....
At this time the results seem to be going for us, that could change very quickly. I think 3 of the next 4 are away, God help us!!!
I hate the Championship I never want to see us in that league again, it's can be a graveyard for clubs it slowly ebb's away at your finances if your not careful. The league reminds me of years of mismanagement on and off the field. The season is salvageable but it's going to be scrappy mess, I don't agree with booing people but I don't disagree with people being annoyed and disappointed.
I'm going to dive in and straight out again, I can't put up with some of the **** that's coming from the mouths of those who think they know about football and mistakenly believe themselves to be "supporters" of the club that I have loved for nearly sixty years! You think we should go away to Newcastle who have recently beaten TWO top four teams and that we should come away with a win! As far as I'm concerned, those of you that think that are arrogant tossers who don't deserve to have a team to support! See you in a week! That's for you carrabuh!
I for one did not expect us to win but i do expect us to try to win and play decent football. The shower of s##te that is on display week in and week out is not and never will be acceptable. I feel we are in a cul de sac with no way out, time for a change. I am not a mistaken supporter, although i am not quite as old as you Dave i have been following Norwich for 40 years and feel i should be able to display my displeasure when i feel it. Like you just did!!!!
Were you crying whilst you were typing that? Jesus. I actually kinda agree with what you say about not really expecting a win today. I would have taken a point before the game because they are an in form team. If the performance was bad than I think that's a different story, and it does sound bad, but I am yet to see it.
Have you had a few whiskeys dave? I don't think many are expecting us to beat Newcastle, but you can't defend how poor the team was in the first half. We didn't turn up, very poor
I particularly liked the part how we were all expecting a win. Because of course, we all were. Ridiculous.
There weren't that many that thought or expected us to go there and get a win, if you look at the CPL. I believe you were one of the few that put us down for a win, so was that hope or expectation Dave? I wouldn't describe myself as a doom and gloom fan, but I was despairing at times at the football we were playing. How many time did Redmond waste the final effort after beating people? How many times did different people misplace the simple passes? How many times did we try to get the ball to our forwards? How many times in the 90 minutes did the defence look shaky and very fragile? How many times did 2 or more players go for the same ball, when only 1 was needed? Far too many basic questions were asked today. Unfortunately, no answers.
