Don't understand why we've latched on to Tony Blair's anthem. Bit of an odd one. ****ing ****e to boot.

TWO Sunderland fans have launched a campaign to get 1990s anthem Things Can Only Get Better to No1 in the charts on Sunday to coincide with the Capital One Cup final.  Neil Winfield, 42, and John Thornhill, 44, from Millfield, are behind the plan and are encouraging as many people as possible to download the D:Ream song from today.  It was recently adopted by supporters, and a YouTube clip of fans singing it at January’s 2-1 semi final victory at Old Trafford has received more than 1,700 hits.  A Facebook page – Let’s get Things Can Only Get Better to number 1 for the League Cup Final – has already received more than a thousand “likes”, but to get to the number one spot around 100,000 people will have to download the song.  Neil said: “The inspiration was the away game to Cardiff where all the fans were singing it due to the team’s revival under Gus Poyet.  “But the semi-final at Old Trafford was where it really took off. John had asked me on Wednesday if I could make a page and start a Facebook campaign to get the song back in the charts in time for the league cup final.  “We got over 1,000 likes in the first 24 hours.”  The pair are calling for as many people as possible to like and share their site to spread the word and get the tune to the top of the charts.  Neil added: “We want to get the song in the public eye as there’s a buzz on Wearside with the league cup final coming up, a potential semi-final leg in the FA Cup looming and the general feeling around the city that the team’s recent performances has created. It’s a great way to get everyone involved.”
I wasn't at the Everton game, but there was a good 20 minutes or more of constant singing at the Cardiff game - and two goals because of it!
They were singing it at Everton on off for most of the game I thought oh dear at first but surprisingly ended up singing it haha very catchy
