There have been some issues putting out the sectional times from yesterday, I do not know what they are but according to British Champion Series they should all be up some time this morning.

In the meantime, they have released the King's Stand stats (scroll to bottom of page and click on link to an Excel spreadsheet)

The Prince of Wales sectionals are available here

They still don't have the Queen Anne or St James' Palace up yet, but based on the evidence of that, can we say Frankel would have beaten So You Think? SYT's fastest furlong was clocked at 11.31, Frankel's was about a second faster.

I think Frankel's sectional times were shown after his race. When I get a free run on the TV I'll see if I can locate them and post them up.

I assume SYT was racing on better ground today (i.e. faster) - if Frankel is doing 1 second per furlong faster on slower ground then that speaks volumes

Don't forget one was an 8f race and the other was a 10f race.

    Frankel - 8f TIME 1m 37.85s (fast by 1.15s)

    SYT - 10f TIME 2m 3.86s (fast by 1.74s)

This morning's Racing Post states that there was radio frequency interference on the first day of Royal Ascot and they are having to carry out "post processing". This means we are unlikely to to see the times until next week.

Regarding the lost shoe, Sir Henry has said that the horse lost a show during the last furlong and his foot has been poulticed as a precaution to make sure the foot is not sore.

They can't even get their Index of Runners and race cards consistent. When I pointed out the deficiency in their IT design they came up with a pretty pathetic excuse which just confirmed the bad design.

The full sectionals for all the horses in the Queen Anne are still not available, but TurfTrax have released their stats for Frankel

    After 1 furlong - 15.11 (average 25.74mph)
    After 2 furlongs - 11.79 (37.46mph)
    After 3 furlongs - 11.96 (37.02mph)
    After 4 furlongs - 12.10 (36.93mph)
    After 5 furlongs - 11.26 (37.11mph)
    After 6 furlongs - 10.58 (42.53mph)
    After 7 furlongs - 11.04 (37.89mph)
    After 8 furlongs - 14.04 (33.2mph)

    Overall average speed 35.99mph

That is some acceleration in the 6th furlong!

It's that 3 furlong burst again which did it - 11.26, 10.58 and 11.04 for furlongs 5-7 put the race to bed.

Also worth pointing out that 10.58 is quicker than any horse recorded for any furlong in the Kings Stand stakes

The fastest furlong clocked in the King's Stand was 10.70, which was CALEDONIA LADY in the second to last furlong.

The times for LITTLE BRIDGE in the King's Stand were:

    14.99
    10.78
    10.98
    11.03
    11.91

So You Think's times (final 5 furlongs) were:

    11.90
    12.21
    12.53
    11.66
    11.31
    12.23

So You Think clocked the fastest furlong of the race at 11.31

Clearly Frankel needs to learn to trap faster

I think we should get a mare in season (Zenyatta), load her into an open top horsebox, facing to the rear. and drive it past the stalls at 40mph and let Frankel go. Maintain an average speed of 40mph to the winning post and then slow right down.

If he catches up he can have her and retire.

So how come you haven't retired? Or didn't you "manage it"?

Haven't run "competitively" since then Ron - I just do training runs round the local park and admire the scenery <ok>
