    Hi All

We all enjoy our banter with our rivals from the other side of the football divide in Bristol.

Sometimes things happen that should unite us all.

Personally I think their new stadium should go ahead - attached is link to a petition that people can sign.

I appreciate some may not be able to put aside their "anti-gas" sentiments, but it's there if you want to <peacedove>

Nothing to do with Gas sentiments. I am not in the habit of signing anything which can have a negative impact on others. The views of those who live in that area should take precedence over anybody else's.

Sainsbury's is not an enabling factor. Local ward councillors are against the development, the local retailers association is opposed, and it appears the residents are too.

BRFC could find alternative means of funding their project which has planning permission e.g housing.

I signed it, and I tweeted my support for Charlotte Leslie's work. I suggest that others do the same.

Hope Charlotte has as much success with the Sag stadium as she did backing our stadium.

    I won't be signing - ask CJS.

It's a problem going round at the moment RP. It will sort itself out or if it gets to bad one of the supermods will sort it out, All we can do is delete them.

If I remember rightly CJS put an opposite petition up against us (what the **** it had to do with him I don't know??) in the 'NAME OF FAIRNESS' were his words, I think in the 'name of fairness' We should start a new one up too..

    nice one smhbcfc <ok>

when england lost the world cup bid, i then signed the petitions in support for city. i wasnt behind city getting a new stadium when city 1st announced the plans for ashton vale as my opinion was city was hiding behind the world cup bid to get the stadium. my issue with that was that i wasnt behind the world cup coming to bristol full stop. i didnt mind too much the world cup coming to england but wasnt keen at all that it was coming to bristol. so i was against the stadium. i openly said this numerous times on the old bbc606. as soon as england lost the bid, i was in support for your stadium. i wanted bristol to progress.

but dont listen to me smhbcfc. i speak with a forked tongue apparently. listen to the usual 'minority' who twists comments and have selective reading!

either way, makes no difference to me <ok>

    :)

bullshit.. and you're full of it... You changed your tune as soon as the tide turned against us..

You never once said that at the time,

you need a good memory to be a liar.

here is a few old threads for you banksy from bbc606 which proves you wrong, proves i did say it at the time and well before the tide turnt against you.....

this thread: post 3 from wiz talking about me changing my mind on the issue. then post 15 onwards between me and alandicksthegreat confirmed where i stood at the time on the issue. notice the date. notice where you were at the time of your application. everything looked odds on for ashton vale to get the go ahead. certainly not when the tide was turning against you. the decision by fifa wasnt anywhere near this time on who were going to be hosts! you need to get your facts right. yet again you attack me on here with twisted statements and yet again i prove you wrong. i have no idea whats wrong with you to be honest. here is the thread: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A60837861

here is another thread which also points out in my 1st comment on it that i be happy for you all and happy for city and bristol if you get your stadium. this comment was also made before fifa's decision on who gets to be the host nation and while you still looked odd ons favourites to get the go ahead on the stadium. here is the thread: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A76913670

so before you accuse me of being a liar and yet again use your selective memory, think 1st because every time you attack anything i say or do i have proved you wrong. forked tongue? certainly not me! look closer to home.

evidence is clear right infront of your very own eyes with threads proving im right and your wrong. keep digging though. maybe you might get lucky and get 1 thing right about me. i doubt it though as you clearly aint all there if you accuse me of things and get proved wrong (again and again) - which everyone can see - and you still still go on.

    fickle or what <doh><laugh>
