A positive move by Rovers to reduce the cost to supporters who cannot commit to a season ticket but attend games regularly. Something that other sports clubs (Bath RFU for example) have been doing successfully for a while but no less a positive initiative. More choice for supporters Bristol Rovers are introducing a new Flexi-Ticket to allow supporters more choice and better value when visiting the Memorial Stadium. If you cannot commit to 23 league games, the Flexi Ticket will allow you to purchase a match package for five or ten league games of your choice. The Flexi-Ticket packages will replace season tickets for the rest of the season, so you have until 5pm on Tuesday August 12th if you still want to sign up for a season. A season ticket is still the cheapest way to watch football at the Memorial Stadium, so donât miss out â you have just one week left to purchase yours before sales are frozen. A ten-match adult Flexi Ticket costs from £140, which works out at £14 per match, and a five-game Flexi Ticket can by snapped up form as little as £70. There's no price advantage of going for a 10 or 5 game ticket. They may have missed a trick here as the 10 ticket could have worked out slightly cheaper and people would put more money into the club upfront. Still it is a positive scheme and helps people who work shifts or just cannot afford to shell out for a whole season at once
great idea says i. some fans aint happy though because they said they dont manage to get to all games but still paid out for a season ticket already but would have rather had this deal and they are not impressed that these deals were not made available from the start. fair comment. i can see why they are not impressed. however it is a great deal and designed to get more to turn up which can only benefit the club of course. timing should have been better but better late than never. if you are a season ticket holder who get to all games, a season ticket still gives better value than these deals so not really an issue. rovers would have lost some fanbase who have decided to just pick what games they want. these deals allows them to do that and cheaper than paying on the day. rovers also tweeted that you can phone and post the voucher in advance and get the ticket posted to you for the game. you dont have to attend the ticket office so if you live further away as well you dont have to worry about that.
Don't want to be overly optimistic but there are slight signs that the BoD are trying! NH coming out on a Sunday to comment on the report about the ground, TW attempting to explain why fees are undisclosed....now this. Green shoots.......? Ah well, live in hope......................
