Unsuccessfully - appeal turned down. Therefore he's out for Tranmere, Alfreton and Kidderminster <grr>

Rovers appeal against the red card picked up by Andy Monkhouse at AFC Telford has been unsuccessful. The midfielder will now serve a three match ban which will see him miss Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Tranmere Rovers and league games against Alfreton Town and Kidderminster Harriers. Manager Darrell Clarke was disappointed at the outcome of this afternoon’s appeal as he felt there was a good case for the red card to be rescinded. DC said:
“Of course I’m disappointed as I saw two players jumping for the ball. Andy was looking at the ball the whole time and made a determined, but fair, challenge to try to win the ball. Quite how the challenge was deemed to be violent conduct I don’t know. Although I felt we had a strong case to have the decision overturned, we have to accept the outcome and move on.”
