Because Swansea are obviously so much better than us now they are in the Premier League.

They will be putting bids in for top class wingers like Hulk, Messi and Ronaldo. They won't want Wayne Routledge.

Was reading a thread on the Swans board about Routledge, someone asked how we're signing all these players and why they'd choose us over them. This is one of the replies:

"Leicester for me is a big club with big money to spend and wages wont be a problem to them either and not forgetting the lure to work with Sven has big pulling power for the club as well.I mentioned this a couple of weeks back that i think Leicester will be a PL team next season for the other two promotion spots you can pick from atleast another ten teams."

It seems not everybody outside of Leicester thinks we're going to struggle!!

Rob Tanner of the Leicester Mercury in relation to Routledge:

"he is in talks with City. If Sven wants him he will get him, believe me."

Quality player but a bit of dick! I'd rather the Jacks get him than you guys (don't want to play against him!!) but I reckon he'll sign for you because of higher wages and the Sven-factor.

Certainly did well when he returned to QPR last season. Like has previously been stated, finding it more confusing as to which formation we will adopt. Good player, but how would he fit in ?

A lot of people on the Newcastle board seem to think he's heading your way. As i've already said, this'd be great for you as he seems to be a lucky charm to Championship title contenders!

He played a bit for us last year in the Prem and didn't look too bad to be honest. The only thing i could see wrong was that he didn't cut in and ended up running to the corner flag and not knowing what to do (he's not a great crosser). Other than that he looked an alright player, good at hassling defenders and getting past full backs! I think he's just more suited to the Championship...

This could be your problem, you have the quality of that there is no doubt, its just getting the formation/mix right and keeping everyone happy. With big shot Nugent in your team that may not be so easy!!
Personally i think you will go up but i wouldn't be suprised if it didn't quite work for you this season.

Good luck anyway, after all i did pick you as my fun league team!!

Its looking good, as for where he would fit, its good for competition.

Def: Bamba, Tunch, Mills, St Ledger
Mid: King, Wellens, Danns, Abe, Oakley
Att (wings): Gally, Dyer, Routledge "Vassell"
Att (centre): Nugent, Vassell, Waggy, Howard

This has gone pretty quiet and Swansea are now favourites to sign him. Another one bites the dust...

Well its gone very quiet with the swans on this one, think he will go to you to be honest, to be truthful I don't him at our club as he is a mercenary only interested in money and will be disruptive IMO to the team harmony at my club.

I was wondering why you need him.

He is bang on the same player as Sinclair..

For cover I guess, he will have to fight for a place at ours , which is no bad thing I must admit , but I just don't like him as he doesn't come across as a team player and we are all team and don't have prima donna's at the club.
