I think most Swans fans have faith in Brendan Rodgers, so is it really good/great that he can't get some players he wants just because some fans don't like them. I'm not saying fans aren't entitled to their point of view, but if we trust BR then maybe we should let him choose the players. I'm sure he has a better understanding of the game and the players than most fans do. It's almost like some fans are cheering that BR has lost a player he wants. Don't forget that BR is great at getting the best out of players, so he can probably see something in these players that the fans can't. Some fans thought that Sinclair and Borini were a waste of space when originally signed.
you can see brendan is a top coach,but there's only so much he can do, if we can't compete with championship clubs even when we're in the prem, it's going to be a struggle for him to get enough quality player's to come here.
Thing is its all a matter of opinion , I don't think wayne is a player that brings a good sense of team with him, he is all about money and will dump us for his next pay day probably in January if things are not going well for him or us. It would be very boring if we all agreed on things

sa14, it is about competing with championship clubs when we go for player's(because premier league clubs are out of our league) and championship clubs can offer more money,gudjohnson was coming here until west ham stepped in, then routledge was having talks until leicester stepped in, we was lucky we got danny graham early, if we tried buying him now we'd probaly lose out cardiff/brum/leeds/ipswich/forest/hull etc.
doc, I can see the logic with the teams you mentioned..... but Cardiff???? This isn't meant as a cheap shot at our neighbours but, surely, given their level of debt and our influx of funds, we should be able to out-muscle them financially at this point in time.
West Ham - going for the bounce and Leics are spending stupid amounts of money, if Leics fail, they've spent a whole lot of wonga for nothing... Like Cardiff did..... I want some new blood in, just need some more patience. BR will get his men!
ivor, cardiff's new owner's have a big wedge, if malky was there before we signed graham, i tell you we'd struggle to get him.
Surely players would prefer to be at a prem team? I realise some championship clubs can offer slightly more wages than us but if a player (e.g. routledge) were to have a good season in the prem with us, bigger clubs might be interested next season knowing they can cope at the top level. If he goes to Leicester and they go up next season they would probably sell him off to another championship team and buy a bigger name for their premiership campaign. Do they not see the bigger picture!
