So glad to hear he is back, i really hope he hits the ground running and picks up where he left off. I think he was one of the reasons we improved in the 2nd half of last season. His direct running and quick play should hopefully give a boost to a midfield that has become way to slow, sideways and stagnant. I really hope he plays like that again i.e. a less skilled but far more direct version of Cazorla who looked like he could do with a rest.
hugely agree with you Rosicky was in a league of his own for the 2nd half of the season and I think he was the reason we did so well in the 2nd half of the season! HOWEVER, with that being said Given that you say Cazorla needs a break Wilshire only just back from injury and Arteta playing in a position that IMO doesn't suit him and considering that Rosicky has started tonight in the CL - would you start Rosicky on Saturday and if so in favour of who and what role would you have him deployed in?
Totally agree with this, currently watching the Olympiacos game and the guy just oozes class. He is making our team tick at the moment, it's such a shame he has been blighted by injuries during his peak years as i believe he would have been a legend for us.
Rosicky creates much more chances than Wilshere and let us face it - he is a better player than Jack.
I thought he would get a longer run out say 60-70 and then last 20-30 mins at West Brom. When wenger took him off at half time i thought he was considering starting him against West brom but now it turns out it is muscle fatigue so not sure. If he is solid I would start him play him AM and play theo and Caz either side of Podolski upfront. I think he is by far are most direct player and him and Caz can keep swapping positions who I expect to do just as much damage on the wings - because even as great as a player Caz is he also goes down sideways a bit too much (both from his style of play and lack of options) he has unfortunately been Arsnealised Rosicky still seems to be immune to that particular ailment probably cause he was injured when they were teaching it.
