The most likely option for the weekend?

He's not as mobile as he used to be, has a terrific tackle on him ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH5UxBdIKgw ), and is the most experienced player suited for this role with Diaby, Frimpong & Song all out.

With Wilshere seemingly back fit, a midfield of
    Rosicky Wilshere
    Ramsey

seem the most likely. Thoughts / Opinions?

Where has our "Little Mozart" gone?

Rosicky is a bit too lightweight and weak for that role.

Feel so sorry for him... was fantastic at the 06 World Cup and now seems a completely inhibited player. The story of Arsenal and injured players...

Why not move one of the centrebacks forward? Both starters are mobile enough to play that role.

Not a bad shout that actually, if he is disciplined enough he can certaInly just sit and break up play. Will his offensive mind take over too much though ?

I'd rather not lose an able bodied CB to play in DM .. we don't have any left to spare now :((

i think djourou and koscielny are meant to be back, so i would play one of them as DM.

WE need some height in our midfield .. so ..... if we have CBs back ... I'd like to see that. I wanted to see Toure play there .. thought he would've been fantastic as a DM.

I'd rather have Rosicky holding and have Wilshere's creativity than the other way round. I think Rosicky has the nous to force the play out wide and break things up.

CB-wise Traore will most likely be fit for the weekend, Udinese is another matter. If both Koscielny and Djourou are available for the weekend I can definitely see one playing at the back and the other as DM, depending on whether or not Wenger believes they have the engine for it (which Toure didn't), and whether they have the nous to play there.

I'd prefer Koscielny for mobiliy, but I can see him giving away LOTS of cheap free-kicks.

I never understood that argument that Toure didn't have the engine for it, you do far less running in that position than you do as an orthodox CM or as a defender where you are constantly pushing up to play the offside trap or following the movement of lively CFs. In fact, having played as a centre half and a box to box midfielder I can guarantee that you do far less running as a DM.

Rosicky will get blown away. If he plays DM then it will be his job to pick up Rooney, and i do not want to watch the outcome of that.
