Now has 152 goals for Utd in a little over seven seasons. If he keeps that scoring rate up, he'll beat Bobby Charlton's record at the age of 30.

    But yeah, he's totally overrated...

He was poor last season but now he looks to be back to his best.

He started off poor but after coming back from Oregon he was probably the reason why Berbatov scored so many goals, I think Rooney linked brilliantly with Berba. I think Rooney had a good season last season.

He looks strong and hungry so far this season, had a good pre-season and it doesn't matter who he partners, he links up superbly. Another 7 seasons and he will only be what, 32, and an unprecedented 300 goals for United? I wouldn't put it past him to get 300 let alone get 250 to pass Sir Bobby.

I wouldnt say hes totally overrated, just a little, but theres no denying hes top class, and he could get into any team in the world barring MAYBE barcalona, Im not going to lie i would love to see him panther ronaldo again, they were perfect for each other.

Rooney was brilliant today, all over the park, his link up play was great and his through balls superb . He has started the season looking hungrier and leaner and back to his old self. Perhaps the fact he has not just come back from a world cup knackered, with a protracted transfer saga hanging over his head, has helped but lets hope he keeps it going all season. Having said all that, my man of the match was Ashley Young, who I think has slotted into United's style of play perfectly. He got some heavy treatment today but just keep getting up and his two goals were fantastic strikes. I haven't seen us demolish Arsenal so easily since we beat them 6-2 at Highbury in the league cup many years ago. The future looks bright and we need to keep one step ahead of our very wealthy and noisy neighbours !!!

Ashley Young Looks like he was born to play in a United Shirt. Does this mean that Ryan can retire now knowing that his left wing is replacement has arrived?

I was 4th in my fantasy football mini league, yet I have Dzeko, Rooney and Van Persie up top. So a cool 8 goals today for my attack has catupulted me 30 points clear in 1st

The ball still seems to go straight through your keeper though! He will cost you dear sooner or later.

Who gives a **** about England? Why should he perform for ****house fans who boo at the drop of a hat.

Anyway Rooney is clearly back to his best and that bodes well for whoever is partnered with him up front. He brought the best out of Welbeck already and last season Hernandez shone alongside Rooney. His touch and passing are simply sublime.

I think he'll hit over 30 goals this season. 5 already for the lad.
