I'm imagining a low skill job if he has a job at all.

Why do people keep saying Hart?

    Silly choice.

Rooney has his flaws but so does every player. Of the current england side Gerrard and Rooney are probably the 2 best candidates really and Gerrards not playing.

The FA do not have good track record with captaincies do they? Terry, rio, were not ideal and now they have chosen Rooney. Rooney does not have leadership qualities. I would have chosen Hart too. He is the only world class player we have in the team and should be a banker GK for the next 10 years.

I've just placed two Scousers in senior roles with a leading UK biotech. Both have PhDs in molecular biology. Both live in Liverpool, both are joining the same Manchester biotech and both are depriving less intelligent mancs of a job <laugh> Shove that up your gaping sh1tter.

I see San Marino have adopted the 9-0-1 formation (as developed in Stoke).

Strikers as captains are not the best, know least about the total game and a lot is behind them.

A captain is a manager who is on the pitch more or less and can make an impact by doing a damn good job and making sure everyone else does theirs. Rooney is less suited to this than Gerrard.

Why Hart, well because he appears to have the qualities and will play for England for a long time no doubt, he'll be a good captain if he gets the band for a few years. Yeah but that's the future.. who cares about that eh, now now now <laugh>

2-0 England at HT. We need 4 goals in the next half to make this a half-respectable performance. Not good enough. Rooney and Lennon (possibly Ox) look the only creative points in a very flat side.

If Cleverly (who I rate as a decent player) is in there as a creative midfielder, he needs to pull his socks up and start creating. Carrick has been playing keep ball ... against San Marino! They concede almost 6 goals every match, and they always park the bus so that is not a valid excuse. Cr*p so far, boys! Sort it out. <doh>

I care and we won so i'm happy.

Rooney has the passion even if he is a bit of a turd.

    5-0 job done.

    Shelvey got some experience too.

  18. I reckon San Marino will be happy with that, they would have taken 5-0 before kickoff!

Yeah we played better in the second half. Should've scored more. Macedonia knocked 6 past this shower, with no response. Michael Owen predicted us to win 8-0, but said we should score 5 as a minimum. Have to agree with the little toad, really.
