Like him or loath him (I am more of a loather), I have to grant he is just fu*king amazing.

Juventus were 2 down after the first leg at Athletico Madrid, the fans giving him some stick.. he showed them 5 fingers and a nought, he has 5 Cups AM zero

2nd leg he scores a hat trick and Juventus wins..

I wonder if we could borrow him for the rest of the season

Best player ever by a distance for me. Possibly not at the height of their talent but in terms of doing it year in, year out. For every club, for country. Astounding career he is having.

Messi doesn't come close by virtue of only winning in a Barca side that are probably the greatest side in the history of the game.

This for me. Messi undoubtedly massive natural talent, but Ronaldo has proved himself in 4 different top national leagues. His dedication and work ethic to keep at the top of the game is fantastic, wish all footballers had his drive.

Is he an arrogant twat? Possibly, but who bloody wouldn't be.

Lot's of people hate him because of his arrogance etc. and prefer Messi as he's more humble.

I put his off field antics and his arrogant nature to one side and simply look at the football - he's ****ing amazing! Best ever IMO.

Can run with the ball, beat players, head the ball (something Messi can't simply due to height and build), tackle, great vision, scores goals - the absolute complete footballer.

Top that off with succeeding in England with one of the biggest ever, Spain with one of the biggest ever and now Italy the same. And he's won the euros too!!!

Christ he could probably play in goal (he'd be better than Jason Steele, Robin Ruiter and Lee Camp!!)

He'd probably win the eurovision song contest as well!!

The Euro song contest !!!!! Now you go too far, wait till you hear him sing ugh. I have it on good authority that he sings like a dying duck. <laugh> Though there was once a rumour about his sexuality that might be suitable for the Eurovision. :emoticon-0159-music

I think if Messi and Ronaldo had each other's physiques Messi would be head and shoulders (literally) the best in the world, but because they don't you've got to give it to Ronaldo, an unbeatable combination of ability, drive and physicality.

Can't really bring myself to revel in his success though because I plain don't like him. It's not because he's not humble, Ibra has an ego the size of Africa and I think he's great, there's just something off about Ronaldo. He may well be done for rape, the allegations ring true to me, but it's amazing what lawyers can do so even if he did it he'll probably get away with it.

Bottom line is.... Messi or Ronaldo?
    Don't give a damn!
Like George Best, Cruyff and a few others at the time, they are both Amazing to watch as they can just produce the 'MAGIC' and turn a game in the blink of an eye leaving you thinking .........

"How the F**k did he do that!!!!! and WHY CAN"T HE PLAY FOR US!!!!!!!!!"
