Ronaldo back at OT. Long shot I know...and one can only dream... But if it did happen, is it curtains for the rest as far as the premiership is concerned? RVP Ronaldo Rooney with welbeck and Hernandez in support...
Teams would start fearing the name Ronaldo on the teamsheet just like the time he was at united before. that would be great!
There's a thread for this matth... Seriously, there is. We've been discussing it since last week: http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...s-Thread-Updated-Daily!?p=4387049#post4387049
I think we had a team better than that back in 08 when we won the CL. Obviously we had Rooney and Ronaldo anyways, and Tevez as much as some hate him now was quality for us, and his workmanlike approach supported Ronaldo better than I believe RVP would. I think with RVP and Ronaldo in the same side they may cancel each other out, or more likely RVPs form will suffer, as players won't be looking for him as much as they used to
Rooney does all the hard work now to support RVP and if he had another outlet like Ronaldo to support I think it could only be a good thing...
Don't get me wrong id love to see him back, but I could see RVP getting brushed under the carpet a little much like Berbatov, as from a tactical point of view if you play Ronaldo, then it's important to have more workmanlike players around him. I think Welbeck would be better suited to playing with Ronaldo and Rooney, than RVP would. It's not always about just putting the best players out on the pitch, it's important to play the best team with the correct balance
I understand what you're saying but I don't think RVP will become surplus to requirements like Berbatov did, one reason being he is better than Berbatov. So you would play Rooney and Welbeck with Ronaldo rather than Rooney and RVP? ----------RVP---------- Ronaldo--Kagawa--Rooney That would be perfection if you asked me... You could even move Roooney inside and play Welbeck far right if you wanted to include him but I can't see how the team would be better by playing Welbeck over RVP. Are the players around Ronaldo at Real that workmanlike? I'll admit that Ronaldo will take away some of the goals, chances and headlines away from RVP but the better team would be with RVP not Welbeck.
But when the headlines and some of the goals are taken away from RVP, does he have the correct attitude to keep working hard, that the likes of Rooney, and Welbeck have. Even if Rooney and Welbeck haven't scored for 10 games, both will still work there socks off and put in a shift. They are both prepared to do the dirty work and play 2nd fiddle to someone else, if it improves the team. A few games without a goal, and I feel RVPs head drops, and with Ronaldo in the team being the main man, I just can't see RVP flourishing. RVP IMO is a 'main man' in the same way Berbatov was, and neither do well when playing 2nd fiddle to a superior player. That's why he has never really done the business for Holland, as the like of Sneijder and Robben have forced him to play 2nd fiddle, a position he's not comfortable with. That's why I still feel SAFs best ever team was in 08, as we had 2 strikers with a great positive attitude in Rooney and Tevez, and a talisman in Ronaldo. Real Madrid haven't really won anything yet, and were deep in our pockets before the referee intervened, so using the players he plays with there doesn't really sit well with me, as IMO they have a few great individuals but there not a world class team. With a fair ref any of Bayern, Dortmund or Juve will deal with Madrid. As it happens Dortmund already have
