    According to an interview on SSN a few minutes ago, Ronaldo has by all accounts refused to sign a new contract at Real Madrid. Looks like the best player on the planet (my opinion) could be on his way back to you guys <ok>

    2015 - it's the same one he signed when he joined. He signed it just before they overturned the Beckham law, so it's got very favourable tax treatment at the moment.

    That's one of the main reasons it hasn't been renegotiated earlier - as soon as he signs a new contract the 25% tax rate will go and Madrid would need to increase his base salary by almost 50% just to keep him on the same net pay.
