Why? I hope everyone - myself included - will die, otherwise there will be something seriously wrong with nature.

Ronaldo is I am afraid what's called a flat track bully.

Against not so good oppostion he will score hat-tricks, have incredible match winning performances and all that. BUT against top opposition, when he is soely needed, like against Barca, he just disappears. I watched the el-classico last week and his peformance was just appalling. He was so invisible that almost all the other Real Madrid players played better than him. Messi rose to the occasion but Ronaldo just SHRUNK.

Friends used to tell me this when he was playing for us. I refused to accept it but with hindsght I know they are right.

Ronaldo is simply suited to bits to the modern game, tall strong fast, good skill but not the best.

You could play a bunch of olympic sprinters and get some points in the prem\la liga

Nice out of context slice comas<ok>

If you included the rest it would be fair:) And Bolt I reckon obviously no Ronaldo but he'd get goals if you taught him how to finish, no fkn doubt there, he'd have so many 1v1s on keepers as CBs are left spinning.

I forgot to add, ROnaldo runs on the balls of his feet and wears tight boots to compact his feet so he pings teh ball the way he does, or has done, and they are major reasons why he goes down when tapped, it aint the oppositions fault he runs like a nancy. though it is also a reason he doesnt pull his chickenandhamstring

Very suited to the modern non contact game

The quote inspired images of a black guy in a lab coat working out equations on a whiteboard:)

What theory? Oh wait, fast guys. Play bolt against blackburn and bolton up front, I reckon he'd get United 1 or 2:)

He aint Bebe, he's teh fastest man in the world, no defender would get anywhere near this guy if he could control a ball, Henry was nowhere near as fast and he ran rings around players

The trick is to be quite tall AND fast, the long strides leave others behind, Henry is tall so is Ronaldo

A high end sprinter could not control a ball. Especially someone like Bolt, who has possible the largest strides of any sprinter in decades, his speed is based on technique and he could not utilise this with a ball anywhere near his feet.

If sprinters could convert so easily, they would not be running in an amateur sport and would all be earning big bucks playing football

so, ronaldo is a flat track bully because he hasn't performed against one of the best teams of all time? Did he ever under perform against any other team? Internationally, does messi perform to as high a standard to that he does when he has the two best playmakers in the world behind him? Does that make him a flat track bully who can only perform when he plays teams worse than his own?

Walcott was clocked by Arsenal as being faster than Henry. He doesn't run rings around many players...
