I bet old Roman's going to be having a few sleepless nights, now, over Robbie! What to do? What to do?
I know what I'd do--but he doesn't listen to me!

It's going to be harsh on Di Matteo- but after what happened with AVB i don't think Roman will hand the task of rebuilding to a relative novice.

To be fair, Di Matteo hasn't done anything that Avram Grant didn't do during his stint in charge (yet) and Grant got the chop.

If Chelsea can go on and bring that CL trophy home then Roman won't have a choice, but I don't reckon an FA Cup would do the trick.

I honestly wish Chelsea all the best and hope they win the CL for English football, it's only right that the biggest trophy in club football is sitting in London when the world's greatest athletes come to visit this summer.

Whoever beats Barcelona deserves to win that cup, I hope to god that Bayern do not get through and cheat their way to a win in the final.

    I'd prefer Bayern.
The pressure on them at home would be enormous.

Don't be ridiculous. RDM has beaten the odds, Grant was in charge of the best team in Europe, at their peak. He just had to turn up and watch the team play. RDM has had to pick up a shambles, deal with our **** head old players, and try and salvage something destroyed by the treachery of Lampard, Terry, Drogba, Cole, Malouda, Essien and others I can't be bothered to name.
He is a billion times better than Grant. And he is smart enough to piss all of the above off.
Terry in particular is a seriously flawed person, not worthy of ever captaining our team again. Over and over again he lets everyone down because of his low IQ, his criminal upbringing, and his lousy genes.
How dare he sabotage the efforts of all his team mates with his actions. How dare he think he is bigger than the team. Total absolute scum
    Leader, Legend ???
    Scum bag, loser !!!!
**** off and don't come back. you are a total count
He put our club at risk, he disregarded

I understand the comparison but the difference in the 2 sides is huge. Grant had Chelsea at their peak having won 5 trophies in 3 years and were regular C.L semi finalists. We went one step further with Grant and fair play but it was a far easier job.

When Robby took over it was at a more crucial stage of the season where there was no room for error. In his first few games he got us into an f.a cup semi and negotiated past Napoli when 3-1 down. Since then we have also beaten the best side (ever?) around to make the final and dicked the spuds to reach the f.a cup final too.

There's still a lot of work to make us a 'force' again but why not give the guy at least next season. It wont cost us anything (save for wages), he's a club legend and a young and hungry guy. It's surely a no brainer even if we lose both finals.

Great point there mate. The only problem I can see is whether RA thinks Robbie will be able to attract top players, especially if we end up potless and finish below 4th but I think he deserves a go anyway based on how he's turned the club around.

Haven't Bayern got a fair few players one booking away from missing the final too? I never like to see a team weakened, but considering we have four key first team players missing, it would make it ever slightly more even if they conceded a couple of yellow cards tonight to those players.

Though it must be said, if we finish outside the top four, the pressure will be just as much on us as it will be on Bayern.

For me having a former player that loved the club come back and manage the side successfully is the best scenario there could be IMO. At least there is feeling towards the club rather then it being just a job

Stevie Clark ran Avrams team, not Avram...RDM is running this team, with Eddie Newton.

    Definitely<ok>

It's been touted for a long time on here and the BBC 606 about Zola or Di Matteo taking over, but accepted that RA would always want to go for the big name manager.

RDM has timed his run nicely here.

5W6-- Spot on! Chelsea OB's will always be favoured by the fans. RA will always be radical though! This time he must be going through mental somersaults and no one will second guess him this time!
