So on 27th May, former Arsenal and Spurs player Rohan Ricketts replied to a Saints fan's tweet below: "RT @danbsfc: @RohanRicketts Would love to see ya at Southampton! Make it happen! < waiting for a reply in the coming weeks." (can be seen at http://twitter.com/#!/RohanRicketts) He's currently at SV Wilhelmshaven, but I guess this means his agent has made inquiries with us and other English clubs as he wants to move back here, or vice versa. Then yesterday he put: "Got a imprtant meeting tomorrow about my future in English football. Let's see what it brings. Fully Focused on the work ahead." Could this be Adkins first summer signing? Of course could be any English club but interesting nonetheless. I don't really remember him too well, anyone have any thoughts either way?
He was on Radio 5 live a couple of weeks ago talking to Hawksbee and Jacobs. He spoke well, but he was willing to go on trial anywhere to get back playing in the UK. I expect that's all he would initially get at Saints, a trial. He was injured a lot last season and sounded a bit dismissive of the club he was at. Football wise, can't remember him being that good.
if you look on his twitter page after dansfc says about him joining saints, ricketts replies saying 'no' .... ?
The "no." was to the follow up of "@rohanricketts awesome! have we contacted you then?" So, I'm guessing Rohan's agent has contacted us rather than us going for him. Either way he's terrible, much rather we didn't sign him.
