Well, well, Fulham have snapped up Hugo Rodellega on a free transfer. The striker has been perpetually linked with Stoke during every recent transfer window but alas it's not to be. Old Nicky B will be gutted!!

Clearly tp has got a top player in mind fingers crossed but as i stated in a previous post that i heard from local journo
Tp is hard at work on gettin J Defoe to the Britt
But i do admit i like Rodellega i think hes a top player also

But Stokie makes the obvious point which invalidates all the supposed logic that Stoke and TP have in our transfer policy!

Defo's wages are currently in the 60K+ braket, there will be many clubs interested and he will command a trasfer fee! I would love to see him at the club, but I just cant see it happening myself and the fact that TP were quite willing to chuck 10 + million at Rodellega for the past 3 or 4 transfer windows but wouldnt consider him on a free with higher wages just makes a mockery of his desire to buy him in the first place!

As said last transfer window, lets wait to see who we do and dont bring in and make the comments then, but lets not hide from the fact that TP's general spending has been poor (whether that be in the purchases themselves or how they are utilised when at the club) and I see no reason to think there will be any change this time.

    Congrats on the 1500th thread!

I aslo heard that Defoe "might" sign for us for a very good sauce.. said so before my holidays guys.
BUT, Smither's is quite right. WHAT is the use of us signing him and NOT bringing in Central Midfield player's? We've had a few, not used them correctly and I'm with Smither's I just can not see where TP is LOOKING right now. IF he IS LOOKING that is?

We all know we also need another winger and at least ONE full back minimum... here's hoping.

I hope you source is right and we get Defoe but who do we lose upfront? Crouch & Defoe? Walters in Midfield!?? The latter does not offer any creativity for me.

Looks as if we will not get Ness now
