"I won't make excuses, we are the worst injury-hit squad in the league by far"- KR's subtle Scouse humour after the Pikey game.

As if nobody could have seen this coming.

As Ken says, it was only in August that Gobbo was eulogising about The President and the “fantastic” budget that he had been given. A budget that saw him go into this season with one senior striker on the books.

The least we are entitled to expect now is some tactical flexibility, starting with 4-4-2 this Saturday.

Defensively Robinson has a point about injuries, but Magennis, Reeves, Marshall and Holmes are all injury-free( I won't say fit) yet can't muster a goal to save their lives. They were considered our main men at the start of the season.

Fosu has been a big loss, and Holmes has picked up knocks & lost form (a bit like last season). The other 3 have been a waste of rations.

Jimmy Page has posted that Robinson offered a Charlton fan out at half time yesterday.

Some of Robinson’s fawning comments about the Regime have come back to bite him on his fat bum today.

    - claiming Robbie Fowler told him not to touch the Charlton job with a barge pole

    - stating that Meire and RD had been “very very” good to him and given him everything he asked for

    - the gushing references to “the President”

A simple phone call to Chris Powell or even Russell Slade could have saved Gobbo all this angst.

It is surprising how out of touch some managers are, considering that choosing a decent club to employ them is so important.

But I can't believe Robinson did not know about the total breakdown in relationships between the Charlton fans and the Duchatelet regime. Such deep and bitter conflicts do not just arise for no reason at all.
Yet despite all the evidence showing that Duchatelet, Meire and their regime was making a complete mess of the First team because it was not even a priority in their eyes, KR was apparently willing to accept their word that they were really charming and considerate employers, doing the right thing for CAFC in the face of unjustified and bigoted opposition organised by a few noisy trouble makers.

Some friendly words and meetings in a nice office made more of an impression on Robinson than the relegation, the mass protests and the nearly empty stadium. He has no more respect for Charlton fans than Meire had. He just spouts more football cliches and ingratiating garbage to hide it.

Robinson knew the score when he took the job, he is not an idiot. But he believes too much of his own legend.

He's already trying to present his excuses to the new owner. He must be confident that Roland can't be ar5ed sacking him, probably true, but you never know with Roland. His conduct won't look good to any prospective employer, at this or any other club. It would be an awful time for a new manager to take over if Roland pulls the trigger out of spite.

Robinson said after tonight’s game that we have missed out on another player - Alun Armstrong - and that he can’t guarantee that players won’t be sold in January.

High time that withered old Belgian f*cker f*cked off - he really is taking the piss now.

Robinson should resign after the Bury game with the last remnants of his managerial
    dignity still intact.

Robinson claimed after today’s game that Duchatelet blocked a cash plus player deal for Ricky Holmes ...saying he wanted more cash instead.

Robinson named the player as Carruthers.

This is the one time when we don't want Robinson to keep his mouth shut. Hope he keeps on telling us what's going on - because nobody else will.

Robinson really doesn’t help himself with this sort of sh1te though. I mean ...arselicking Richard Murray after today’s game...embarrassing stuff.

I have real worries that Murray is involved in the Takeover.

No knowledge - but I reckon it’s trying to play “good cop, bad cop” against them. I’d be aghast if he managed to weasel his way in to the deal.

Listening to Charlton Live at the moment.

Robinson was babbling on about how great Murray has been with him over the past two weeks since squirrel face left. Ffs Murray is the only person left in the building so he has no choice but to be in touch with Robinson.<doh>
