Why isn't Mr Hulse as good if not better than Mr Grunt Holt. They seem to share the same physical attributes and lack of skill sets. Why not? On another note who remembers Rob Steiner. How good or bad was he? Much to ponder......

Holt's a lot smarter like him or not. To get that far and score so many goals with such little talent is an achievement to be respected.

He's an awkward bugger, Holt. Must be tough to mark despite his lack of movement. He's strong, aggressive and in your face. He has that know how to win free kicks and to foul.. he's an old fashioned centre forward.. as for Hulse - I don't know. I take you're point with the comparison - but Hulse just seems to lumber doesn't he? (That was me using a lot of words to not answer the question wasn't it?) Hope someone with more knowledge can answer it though

He is smart for sure. Plays the referee for a fool in every match.

can't stand holt, the cheating bastard. was watching the game on sat with a load of budgie mates (i live in norfolk), who moaned EVERY time we won a free kick. however when he went over like a sack of **** on the touchline in the first half, it was well played.

all budgie fans are the same - this is why i hate norwich.

What Holt lacks in skill he makes up in aggression, cheating, gamesmanship and anything else to get a yard on the next player. Not averse to leaving the elbow up, scraping the studs down the back of the leg, etc. The sort of **** that he was used to getting away with down in the lower leagues and nobody has thought to tell him it isn't what you do in the top flight because it suits his club to leave him doing what he knows best.

His method works more than 50% of the time so he sticks with it.

As for Hulse I can't think what use he ever was for the R's. He only ever scored twice for us, nowhere near the form he showed for previous clubs where he had a great scoring record. Let's hope he does for Millwall what he did for us.
