Before that, Blackpool won 4-0 away on the opening day and went down. I like Swansea, but was looking out for a big away win on the opening day as some kind of omen and it came.

As for Rob Green, we had him at Norwich for six or seven years and he barely made a mistake (bar one absolute howler against Forest where he laid the ball down to clear it only for a striker to come from behind the goal and put it in). Seriously, give him time - he was brilliant for us, and we've only just properly replaced him (Ruddy is our first England international since Green himself).

Good luck for the rest of the season, excusing next Saturday of course. <ok>

Dont think we are trying to nail him,but I think we all have an idea as to who is a good keeper and who isnt. Were we fighting with any other prem club to get his signature and by that i mean was there anyone else willing to pay the reportedly £50,000 a week ?.

It would be nice for the keeper to connect with an occasional cross - ha ha!!

Never rated him. No premier league club tried to sign him when West Ham were relegated and we weren't in any competition for his signature.
I'm worried everytime the ball goes near him, even back passes.

I will have to agree re Rob Green ... He shows a lot of nervous tension in his face and has collected a lot of mistakes in his career . Still let's get all the crap out in one dreadful game and move on .

We are rich so if he turns out to be a basket case then we will get another keeper

You're totally right mate. People should own up and give credit where its due.

Have never rated Green. Every time I seen him play he's been appalling. Wanted Cerny to play today, and don't know what MH was doing signing him - he's total sh*te, looks like a nervous wreck with butter all over his arms. I only hope MH realises his huge mistake and gets in a decent keeper tomorrow and def before 1/9. Green cost us the game today as until the goal we let in and his increasing nervousness after, we were far the better team.
