Romain Larrieu has announced his retirement as his testimonial year comes to an end. The rumour is that he will probably come on in the second half of the Cheltenham game to say goodbye to the fans. This could also confirm that Carl Fletcher will be offered a new contract as Manager with Romain continuing in his present role.
Really felt for him when he started to warm up and fell over ..... yes I did laugh but still felt sorry for him .... I don't think the crowd will be so tolerant next season judging by the rumblings at the match today ! Loved it when the crowd sang to Maclean .... You're used to the bench, You're used to the bench .... Steve Maclean you're used to the bench. Thought his reaction to the Green Army when he scored the first goal warranted a card which he didn't get !
The Ref was obviously reluctant to book anyone today Gat but under normal rules he would have been. You kind of couldn't blame him given the stick he was getting. A couple of the chants from the Devonport end were priceless towards him. He even laughed and clapped them at one time which was class in itself. Today was the Argyle of old in m opinion. We looked like the pre Christmas side. Cheltenham were worth their win and they look like a side at the right end of the league. Good side and it was nice to see the reception that Sommerfield got when he came on. It was also a classic moment when Larrieu was warming up. He got the ovation that he thoroughly deserved when he did make it onto the pitch. A decent day out today without a care for the result in the end. Role on next season and a few signings.
Think he deserved the stick after he had came on for us, scored and gave a nasty gesture to the family stand. Mind you I think players enjoy the ego blast of having fans dislike them...even nobodies like Maclean who has had one decent season in their career.
Of course they do joe and he lapped it up. Scoring was an absolute bonus for him. He was never going to be made welcome was he and he fed off the abuse.

Nothing wrong with that AWAY IN BC.........it's not a pointless Americanism..........we will still be here all summer,and there will be lots to talk about........and obviously put right.
Wish I could have been there to say thanks to Le Keeper not the greatest we have had talent wise at HP but equal with Crudgy in terms of legend, well at least in my lifetime.
