They'll "comfortably" pass the FFP regulations, according to their site. They actually make it by £3.5m, via various reductions.
Considering that they made a slight profit in the previous campaign and these things are done over the course of two seasons, they'll have to do some creative accountancy for the next one.
It'll never affect a side like that.

    No way are they viable.
I reckon Roman would have to be paid at least 700m quid just to walk away at break even.
WTF would step in and pay that kind of money to own Chelsky ??

That Bolton debt's insane. The club can't be worth anything like that.
They had big problems before their relegation from the Premier League. They could be in real trouble now.

He'd pass the fit and proper persons test. Nelson Mandela would've failed it.
He'd probably get along brilliantly with Cardiff's owner, too. They could exchange mustache grooming tips.

If they have record turnover, and ain't buying land up like ENIC have had to, then
their OPEX (transfer/wage) costs are dire to still end up with a 49m loss.

You know it's getting to a point where all clubs will only be able to spend a fixed amount....and I mean clubs in every FIFA country.Otherwise the various leagues will have very few clubs competing and may finish up playing each other maybe 6 times a season.
Crazy?Maybe......but somethings got to be done before we no longer will have the Bolton's in the League!!!!
Crazy? It is with players earning 200,000 a week at some clubs, while players at other clubs are surving on "minimum wage".

  8. That's the point, though, isn't it? No way would Chavs be any where near us if they didn't have someone rich enough and mad enough to make the kind of losses on the club that would ruin most small banks.

The day he walks away from the financial millstone is the day that Chavs are ****ed. Mark my words.

That Kompany is a thorn is Swansea's side but it's nice to see Bony break his barren spell, it's been a bit of a cross to bear.

Chelsky allegedly set a break-even point some time ago.
They obviously failed to reach it so twas conveniently forgotten about.

Some Citeh supporters have claimed the sheikh is doing similar (a "10 year plan" etc) .
So we shall see how they get on.
If they get close to it, then it means Chelsky messed up big time.
If they don't, then it just reinforces the Sugga Daddy FC argument.

"The day he walks away from the financial millstone is the day that Chavs are ****ed."

The only way they can avoid it is to become like the Man Utd brand (stock market flotation etc) .
Otherwise there is always the possibility that one of Romans' inheritors (IMHO he himself is
there for life) decide they would rather have the 100s of millions owing than be owners of a
    football club.

Outrageous dive by Oscar against Southampton.

I think there is a case for it to be a red card in that situation as the goalie would have got one if the ref had fallen for it.

How lucky was that 1st Chelsea goal by Torres?!

Cross takes a deflection, hits the post, and hits Torres on the forehead without him knowing much about it

MOTD say it proved what a great striker he is.

Imagine how much better it would be if he meant to head the ball in!
