...I did tell you Luke, poor choice of manager, SAF's worst decision of his career imo, so glad he's not here. And the season you got from RVP is the only one you'll get from him, back to his usual crock self, or has Moyes different training regime ****ed him up? either way United are no better or worse than the rest us without an imposing manager and RVP's goals. All your past cliches about what United used to do, and used to be like, and what they're like after Xmas...all need to go in the bin! Imagine how bad it could get if Rooney leaves, you could be a mid-table side...oh, hang on! Welcome to the PL the rest of us have lived in since it began!
"I did tell you Luke, poor choice of manager, SAF's worst decision of his career imo." This is a seismic once in an aeon event. The last time I can remember anything vaguely close to it is when Bob Paisley retired as Liverpool manager. And even then, they had some continuity built up via the in-house personnel during that time (Joe ***an, King Kenny etc) .
Or did saf think by hanging around upstairs, his United clout over football would continue for a bit after his retirement to help Moyes out. Wrong, already the mindset of teams going to OT has changed, no-ones writing it off as 3pts lost, teams are going in believing they can get a result now, as we should be on New Years Day.
Thanks for that Smart. It made me feel a lot better Perhaps the Glazers will give him £200M to spend in January?
If Utd won every game from now til the end of the season they would end up just 3pts better than last year. If they don't improve BEFORE january then the title will be gone
Who's money, though? Surely, the bank has been telling you to reign it in, these past few seasons, which is why you haven't been able to match the spending of clubs like £ity, PSG and Real?
...and waste more on average players like Fellaini, becuase all the decent ones don't want to join you or him, half the players in Europe have never heard of Moyes. The most notable scottish manager after SAF in their eyes would be Neil Lennon! I don't know how many more slaps round the chops you United fans want before you realise and its too late.
"If Utd won every game from now til the end of the season they would end up just 3pts better than last year. If they don't improve BEFORE january then the title will be gone" IMHO the realistic board target was to get a CL slot, be close-ish to the champions in points total etc. If you say the Fergie factor is worth 15 pts, then for Moyes to finish with 75 pts may ensure the first, perhaps the latter (given the erratic performances of Chelsky and Citeh etc) .
And he's not even Scottish! Poor Moyes Don't see the fuss to be honest, he was never going to win them the league this season so top 4 and progression in the cups should be the priority. No need for them to worry, United just need to make sure they don't mess up another transfer window for him. Well I knew what I meant
If they want a left back, we can sell them Naughton for £8m. Moyes was looking to sign him for Everton, after all...
It's a lot easier to come to terms with not winning the league in December than enduring City scoring twice in injury time in the last match of the season to snatch it on goal difference. I still can't believe it happened.
Given that I've already included Peter Herbert and David Baddiel as Spurs' rivals in this thread, better direct you to the latest from another of our rivals - hack journalists with an agenda: http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...me-and-shame?p=5725717&viewfull=1#post5725717
