IF Man Utd win, this weekend won't be so bad in terms of our rivals' results.

    Arsenal, Man City lose
    Chelsea, Everton draw
    Liverpool, Man Utd, Southampton win

Our defeat would be even worse if all the above teams got positive results.

Phil Jones gets booked for a clash of heads going for a 50-50 ball. Sometimes I think that keepers get far too much protection.

That's the glass half full view, I'm afraid it's a missed opportunity to me.

goons are getting bullied out the game so far, this is why no one really believes in Arsenal as they have been playing some fantastic football but when they go away to dortmund and away to Man Utd, they look a completely different side and you know its because they don't know how to impose their attacking game unless the opposition are off form, or like with Liverpool who left themselves exposed playing 3 at the back.

Absolutely and obviously it doesn't excuse our performance today.

It's more of a 'we've gotten away with it' sort of view.

Best player on the pitch but Vidic going off and Jones moving from midfield has allowed the goons to get back into the game, lucky bastards!

Will have two months "hangover" free starting mid December.

Not at all. L'arse are being bullied, that is the only way to play them. As for us, although I totally disagree with AVB's selection in the first half, I think he put it right at half time and we were then unlucky. However, AVB must take responsibility for his first half selection.

Arsenal bullied at Old Trafford, Moyes has some part of the fergie factor.

  18. Provided that AVB learns from this, and starts the next game how he started the second half today, I'll be able to forgive him.

However, if he stubbornly sticks to the same tactics are the first half, hoping that things will improve, then I'll be starting another "AVB is a clown" thread.

    I couldn't agree more.

Except I don't start many threads, and probably wouldn't call AVB a clown, as he's seemed like a nice enough fellow, even if he proves he's not the right man for Spurs job.

The ideal manager IMO would be able both to play AVB's high pressing game, and Harry's attacking in waves, express yourself style.

Oh, and be able to pick which style the team should be playing, and when. As much as I liked watching Harry's teams play, they went distressingly missing for the most part against the tough teams.

  20. I don't call anyone a clown lightly, Red.

As you will know, I am not a wum.
