Poor response at home following a 7-0, very poor, seem to have spent most of the half moaning at each other. Mind you, its where managers earn their corn with a HT team talk thats going to get a reaction, could be Hughtons weak point, one of them anyway.

It's just so lucky when you get undeserved penalties which change the entire outlook of a game. Oh.....

West Brom. A team that has already beaten United at Old Trafford and taken a point off Arsenal having made them look ordinary.

It's not like we were playing Palace or Cardiff.

Or when you go over a season without getting a penalty.

  7. It is looking like a toss-up between Hughton and Jol as to which one will be the first to be sacked.

My money is on Jol going first.

Jagielka got a quarter of my points so far this weekend.

Sturridge went off the boil quick, didn't he?

Mourinho's reaction to the penalty decision sums up why I really couldn't care less if one of our players dives anymore. There's too many hypocrites and blurred lines to let it upset you.

I'd go as far as to say if one of our players dives and they win a penalty I'll celebrate it and credit them for good play, there's no sense trying to get involved in this high horse, point scoring crap.

I'm also glad AVB's never succumbed to the pressure to strongly criticise diving, play acting, etc as we've seen two managers who did take a tough line embarrass themselves this week by claiming that 2 blatant dives were penalties. I'd rather our manager remained realistic about diving.

So? United have a manager who you think is way out of his depth, surely you can't judge yourselves by them?

West Brom. DL failed to alert us that the same team he heralds for their wins, its also the same team that lost at home to Swansea and could only draw with Fulham.

Hopefully that buys Hughton some more time.

As much as I wish Jol all the best I can understand Fulham fans wanting Jol out, getting whippings against the top teams is one thing but they've only beaten what is now the bottom 3. He must be very close to the tin tack at the moment.

It's nice to see that Mourinho is still the same classless, shameless twat that he's always been.
Kept a straight face while moaning about the ref too, so I guess his acting has improved, even if he's lost his air of invulnerability.
I'm sure that his behaviour will be overlooked by both the authorities and large sections of the media, though.

Palace, Fulham and Wet Spam to go down? Spurs Arsenal and Chelsea in the top four? definitely a game of two halves, top half and bottom half.

I must say I'm shocked that the referee giving what may just be the most disgraceful decision I've ever seen was Marriner. What I mean is, I've seen worse penalties given (not too many) but none that makes more of a mockery of the idea of fair competition. An absolute non-foul in the last few seconds of the last minute of extra time, to preserve Mourinho's undefeated record at Stamford Bridge? Really? It looks like Marriner and Chelsea were negotiating his bribe package before agreeing to one under deadline pressure.

I see it similarly. Suarez, Sturridge and Coutinho are just about as good at producing goals as anyone in the PL, but the rest of the squad is not at the same level. I'll want to see how they react to losing form before I'll be sure they'll be in or near the top four at the end of the year, though.

They turned it round. I fancied them to hit back and best West Ham. Had them down for 2-1 in SD's league so didn't need that third goal!

We had definitive proof that Chelsea are better than (Champions) Utd. Utd lost 2-1 at home to WBA and were unable to salvage a draw with a dubious penalty in the last minute of injury time. However, Chelsea did manage a draw. The title favourites are now a massive 4 points ahead having played a game more. Mourinho really is the special one. So far, only a couple of blips at Newcastle & Everton, a great performance by Joe Hart to beat City in the last few minutes and great showings in the tough fixtures against Hull, Villa, Cardiff, Fulham & Norwich. And wasn't that all out attacking display at Old Trafford something to behold?
