So what does Jamie Redknapp know that hasn't come out in the press? In an off the cuff comment last night before the Chelsea match, Redknapp said, 'well there were a couple of problems with Willians medical at Spurs' , injuries? drug test? or what?
Why is Jamie still in the know about what goes on during Spurs' medicals? I'm thinking Sherwood or Ferdinand are still slipping him info.
I don't think there were any problems so to speak, I heard a rumour that we now send players blood for tests which take a couple of days to come back - hence the window of opportunity for Chelsea, and the fact we were slow to confirm all our deals this summer.
Though judging on last night's performance I'd say Willian has a pretty severe medical problem - liable to morph into a pile of dung at any given opportunity.
Him being a cock? We've won six out of seven games this season, yet we've got Dembele, Chadli and Naughton as Designated Kicking Posts. I'll pick one for you: Mertesacker.
I am saying nothing about chelsea last night...we all know that a week on saturday the f***ers will turn up at the lane and Willian, Eto and Torres will put in their performance of the season after the annoying one decides it is time to start Mata and release Hazard from his defensive duties...Oh and Terry will play like a 24 yr old and Lampard will find his shooting boots...and when that happens I ain't having anything I have written rammed down my throat in my moment of pain!
Chelsea will give it a right old go for sure, but as long as AVb has kept our 'first XI' free from playing at Villa Park, I fancy us to beat them. I never wanted us to buy Willian, and said so at the time. To me the stats for Eriksen/Lamela looked more promising, plus it seemed to me that Willian was an 'AVB selection' and for whatever good or bad reasons I prefer Levy and Baldini's 'selections'.
I never got why we were about to spend £30 plus million on him...if he was that good why was he playing in Russia? But I have been a spur long enough to know that sods law means he'll rip us a new one!
Some start for Swansea. Valencia are a man down after 10 minutes and Bony's taken advantage to put his side 1-0 up. Big result if they can win there.
That must have been hard for him to say! Wonder how Moyes feels about Fergie commenting as I'm sure Moyes can speak for himself and the club.
Really impressive result for Swansea yesterday, even if Valencia are rather a shadow of their former selves. Older Swans fans must be struggling to recognise their club, at the moment.
Question of Sport teaser question. How many Chelsea moves last night broke down when Willian got the ball? http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideo...sea-debut-v-basel-in-champions-league-defeat/
"Really impressive result for Swansea yesterday" Swansea seem to be doing what we did in our CL foray. Just enjoying it for the adventure it is, and playing accordingly.
Looking to formulate our "power XI" - a team (in realistic positions) that Stoke would be afraid to play against. I think we could say we could put out what is arguably the PL's "strongest" team ever, with four centre backs in defence and four holding or box to box midfielders. . . . . . . . Friedel Kaboul - Dawson - Chiriches - Verts Dembele - Sandro - Capue - Paulinho . . . . . . Ade - Kane Remember, this is nothing about putting out our best team, simply the most powerful one. e.g, Friedel is bigger than Lloris so he gets in. Have I missed anyone?
If there was still Pulis era Stoke, I would have loved AVB to gone with a lineup like that. I would drop one of Sandro or Capoue for Chadli though.
