Villa have long been my least favourite team in the league, will be happy to see them gone.

I was thinking about this the other day, jack. We haven't "hammered" anyone all season. Arsenal and Chelsea have had some massive results which have made the difference, hence the excellent goal difference. Like you say, the villa game is the only game where we've made a real impact on the goal difference.

Last season, we beat Newcastle 5-0 and Liverpool 4-0, just to name a couple.

It's a real shame we didnt get that prolific striker, because defensively we've got a lot tighter this season. It migh have been a different story if we had have.

Reading the BBC news site, the Twits are suggessting Moyes failure to commit to a new contract are effecting team peformance, although I think thats just an exuse and Everton aren't good enough to finish ahead of us or the goons.

    Stats the day:

Brian McDermott bemoans Reading's luck v Wigan; 0 shots on target and 30% possession is bad luck?

Utd's much maligned defence has conceded 3 goals in last 8 PL games since Boxing Day (7 wins, 1 draw v Spurs).

Everton have won only 10/27 PL games now- how were they ever considered top 4 contenders?

QPR are now 10 points adrift of 5th bottom Newcastle having played a game more. 'Arry's not giving up yet though.

Before the United game they'd only lost 3 games, how were they not considered title challengers? Answer for both, points...

If Everron had the Jelavic of last season then some of them draws would be wins, so they arent far off being in the top 3 but as it stands they arent good enough to win enough games.

Moyes will go down as possibly the best british manager never to win a trophy if he stays with Everton long term, must be in his thoughts.

Looks like we'll be in the driving seat when negotiations for Benteke start in the summer...

The day Everton surrendered that goal lead to Reading and lost was the day their top 4 chances ended, the loss to Chelsea just hammered in the final nail

So if the chavs win tomorrow then Utd will be 15 points clear, with city having no games in hand? and having looked at the table, both Man Utd & City have lost 1 game at home and 2 games away, with the difference being RVP (to turn Utds draws into wins).

Money well spent, even though it was a huge risk on a player that had his 1st injury free season last year in England.

Can you see QPR staying up? I can't! But Harry's doing his best to keep their fans interested....and himself.

Before Utd played today, this single stat explained the 12 point gap.

It looks hopeless doesn't it? although they have had a tough run of games at the wrong time, yet looking at their fixtures for March & April, they need 5-6 wins, if they can manage that, then with the momentum going into may and two home games back to back, then I can understand why Arry still believes.

They've got some very winnable games coming up, and could end up going on a little run.

Not with the fixtures that remain.

QPR would need 20 points from 11 fixtures. Everton and Liverpool both away in and amongst those, Arsenal as well and also teams around them away.

Great goal by Berba. Wasted at Fulham, only saw highlights yet was like the old Berba.

We should have signed him this summer as his craft, touch and vision are still world class.

That's what I was saying in the summer boss. I was gutted when we didn't get him and he signed for Fulham. I know he left in a **** way but he still probably has 3 good seasons left in him and he is vastly superior to what we have. Imagine how much better we would be with him up top partnering Ade or Defoe? Really don't see why we didn't go in harder for him, I'm sure he would have rather come here than Fulham.
