That club is fast becoming the biggest poison challis in football.
Any rated manager would be taking a massive risk with their career if they took the united United Job.
Moyes was given a 5 year contract but sacked in 9 months.
LVG got them top 4 in his first season and won the FA Cup in his second and was effectively sacked that night.
Jose has spent a huge £150m but has had a poor start and if he is got rid of this season or next that will show that there are huge problems at United. I think that if he is sacked they are more likely to appoint a lower profile manager with a coaching team who can take a bit of time to build a team rather than buy the latest fad player.

Yep my dropped bollock, I read it as "when we approach Klopp".
I guess I was just assuming we would go for the best manager and they would have to replace him with someone.

It's not a good sign that a Liverpool fan is unable to tell red-shirted teams apart: it was Arsenal that offered £40,000,001 for Suarez, not Man Utd

Well now, what a melee at the top. It might puzzle some of my fellow Spurs supporters who were disappointed that we didn't go top that I'm happy that we're not. Being top this early means a LONG fight to stay at the top so for me edging to the top with 5 matches to go is preferable. Staying in touch with the leaders and coming on strong at the end of the race is preferable to being in front then falling away at the end.

The same trend is following last season but this time much earlier than last season. We beat Stoke by four goals then fell away and it's similar now but because it's earlier in the season it gives us more matches to put it right which I think we will do.

City can't buy a win at the moment and I'm sure the more discerning Arsenal fans will be concerned by the failure to beat lowly Boro at home and with no goals to boot. Liverpool I feel should have capitalised more on their 2-0 half time lead instead of just pipping Albion by one goal. Chelsea's emphatic win could be more down to the Mourinho connection but whatever it makes for a very good situation.

Now we have Liverpool coming up and my mouth is shut, I'll be surprised to get through this one.

Yes and yes, unfortunately. Conte looks like a really good choice. I keep hoping something crucial will fall apart, though. They do have a lot of old players in key positions.

It's worse than that. How many times did we fail to go top last year when we had a chance? I think there were about five minutes during one game we were there on GD.

It's all in our heads, I tell ya! To indulge in group psychological analysis of the dime store kind, we need to figure out how to let ourselves be the best team in the league.

We don't want to be top yet, what's the point of being top now? Let's stay in touch and sprint at the end of the race.

A 4 pt gap has now opened between the top 5 (who all have equivalent pts / GD) and Everton.
