We lost at home to Norwich and Arsenal could easily have lost as well, 1 point instead of 0 points. It's just another way of looking at it which values Norwich as a team rather than the usual expectation from Arsenal & Spurs that they should beat a team like Norwich at home. A bit like the old sky 4 and the 'expectation' from the media or the 'expectation' that Redknapp would be England manager. I always enjoy when these 'expectations' by the media are bamboozled. AND Commentators who constantly give their predictions of the outcome as you watch the game. They are everywhere in sport today giving us the benefit of their over inflated egos. Hey dickheads we watch sport because the end is unknown and often unexpected. Get it! Rant over, for the moment, but could start again in an unexpected way.
I read somewhere before that bookies love football because it's the most unpredictable team sport. Apparently results go against the form more often than in any other game. Explains why we love it, in a way. Would I be right in thinking that Arsenal haven't won a league game this season without Arteta? I'm sure I saw that they'd won 74% of the games that he starts, but 0% of those that he doesn't. Makes him even more important than van Persie, if it's true.
but your rant is spot on Spurf.....god knows what qualifies them to have an opinion that is supposed to be better than mine or yours..blatant wummery aside...and yes im sure you will be ranting very shortly what with your 2 favourite teams playing each other very shortly.
Who is playing Dona is there another game today? How sad that the FA Cup which was the ultimate unexpected outcome football contest has been reduced to a bit of a sideshow. Cup Final day at 3pm with only one football match that day. The whole nation watched as the players and teams were introduced in what for many was going to be their only chance to live the dream and play at Wembley. London was quiet during the game the streets were empty. Nearly another rant! Coats for goalposts!
Please, no premature gloating, or winding up of The Goons. We know what we have to do. Win 2 games, and CL football is ours.
A bread and butter chance for Carroll, fluffed it instead of burying it. Whole of the ball was clearly not all over the line....the decision couldn't go against Chelsea though could it!
Compare the Liverpool non-goal to the Chelsea 'goal' against us. If Chelsea's goal gets given then Liverpool's should've too. And yet they have the audacity to complain about the refs??! Ludicrous - absolutely ludicrous. (NB - Liverpool's goal was not a goal clearly but it was far closer to being a goal than Chelsea's was against us).
That's because Liverpool aren't a threat to the new Media 4 of Man U/Man C/Arsenal/Chelsea while we are
He kicks players, which is a lot of Chelsea's game. They need two midfielders to screen the defence these days, to stop opposition players showing up John Terry at regular intervals...
He also falls over theatrically and gets away with blatant red card offences, Croydon. Very important parts of the modern game.
