Yeah I was gunna say as much myself...We had a little dip in form when we lost 5 in 7, but we bounced back well and Cisse has been a revelation...I wouldn't say we have been particularly lucky in terms of results, but the timing of those results has certainly been beneficial in terms of adding to the feel good factor and momentum!

Seems the worst thing that's happened to Tottenham, for whatever reason, was Capello getting the boot!

The worry is that it puts extra pressure on us as we go into this game with QPR and I am not convinced by our handling of it so far.

If Newcastle drew it'd be just the right insentive. Pressure slightly off but still needing points from the game.

Doesn't seem likely at the moment though.

    3-0 <doh>

When we're considered favourites we under perform, be it a recent game with our neighbours, or an FA Cup semi with Everton in '95. By playing catch up, the players have an incentive - and it may also stop 'Arry spouting off as much ammunition as our rivals need...

  9. We are looking pretty good for 6th, at the moment.

It's all pretty dismal stuff, I must say.

Can you pinpoint what has happened though? where does the blame lie? Have other competitions hurt you? who's under performed? or who was overpermorming earlier in the season?

Redknapp didn't rotate the squad early on, so we lost players that could do a job, like Pienaar and our first XI are knackered.
He then got distracted by the England job and started playing Bale in a more central role, which damaged the harmony of the squad and neutralised one of our best players.
We also made the wrong signings in January.

Add to that some players we could've held onto were loaned out. Townsend could've been a useful impact sub, Corluka could've been a good utility player, whilst the reason Pienaar was loaned out was Krasic was supposed to be coming in on loan - but the Krasic deal fell through, yet the Pienaar deal was still completed.

Just to answer you JWAG,when Harry first arrived I thought we would do well at first as all of his teams do but I was filled with a concern that it would not last as Harry never does. His teams lose their strength the longer he stays with them. It's just the Harry aura and as PleaseNotPoll posts, the wrong players and players being played out of position. Harry must go.It's obvious.

    Wenger out, Ammaar?

    Pienaar scored the equaliser, too.
Who wants a winger that cuts inside a lot and scored goals, while working exceptionally hard for his team, though?
Oh, hang on, that's what Redknapp's tried to turn Bale into, isn't it? <doh>

Credit to Everton - never gave up and against a team like Utd - if you get a chance you've got to take it and they did that today.

Everton are 11pts behind Spurs with 4 to play....

Ammaar...our reactions are not knee jerk..my ****in leg has been twiitching for months!

and for a bloody good reason..im sorry i as a fan would not want to be happy with CL qualification every year and not ever winning it..but putting a blanket over the fans eyes and saying that is the holy grail and therefore sacrificing the chance of winning any of our traditional trophies...god knows how you live with 7 years of it... id have another crack at the Carling cup...and so would you because once you got to the final you had your superstars out...when will fans learn we are fans....where as a child if we were to debate football it would come down to class,style,trophies...now people boast about whos the richest..who finishes fuking 4th!!!!

There you go, "never gave up" perhaps that's a lesson we should learn, and fast!

spot on with what you saying there Ammaar..however i did bite because i thought you have become indoctrinated with the Arsenal way and so long as its top 4..forget trophies and moments the fans savour....it is very hard to deciper who is what kind of fan on here or out there nowadays..what with people preffering to boast about whos got the best WAG at the stadium and whos club can afford to pay massive wages or compete with, not even buy,but to compete with some big clubs in transfer talk....well im glad your cut from the cloth that id regard as a 'real fan'..and not the kind that cant wait to have grandkids so that he can tell them..'we finished 4th'.......i could go on..there are so many things that grate me about the modern day footballer..and sayng all this..im not that old myself...but the money men have ruined the game big time..hell i used to wake up to watch cup final match of the day even when my team wasnt involved..and thats from team breakfast to the final whistle...but now i get Harry telling me to be glad we are fuking lucky to be within touching distance of 4th!
