    Norwich fan in peace.

Looks like Norwich might be signing Ritchie De Laet on loan. What do you lot think of him?

We badly need a quality CB and could do with defensive minded cover for RB. I would love to know if you think he could be a good signing or not...

Last season (or actually since January) he has done very very well for us. He played at RB, where probably he is suited due to his pace down the wing. Although he can play at CB, or even LB if needed to so for a utility man he is great.

However, I have my reservations whether he could go straight into the prem yet. I reckon maybe getting a whole season in the championship worth of experience may be required. But hey, hes young so is definitely one who can only get better, and having watched him this season, would think he will end up with a decent top half prem side. If you want a quality CB, then he aint ur man, but probably worth it in the long run if he gets lots of playing time.

I still really want him to end up with us in some capacity next season, so heres to hoping you dont get him ;)

He is not premier league quality, and is a shame to see we aren't getting him back at Fratton.

Oh well, good luck to him :)

Jake- I have noticed before that sky sports understands is code for this is a tenuous rumour.

If you are right that he isn't premier league quality then Ferguson and De Laet will have to decide which of 15-20 premier league appearances for Norwich or 40-45 Championship appearances for Portsmouth will be the best experience for him...

Can't believe United are letting him go out on loan. With his contract up next summer they'll be losing out on about £2 million. Suppose that isn't really much to them, but still...

Best of luck to him, but I really wish we could raise the money to sign him permanently. Thought he was brilliant for us last season. We will miss him next season.
