Shocking, this is just legalised touting. The club should put a limit on what you charge, perhaps 20% more than face value once the fees have been taken out or people will buy STs and sell the big games to make their money back. You only need to sell 3 or 4 tickets and the rest of the games are free for you.

Should be face value with small charge of say a tenner tops.

They charge 10% of the fee plus the buy pays a fee too.

So buying a £50 for £60 is about a tenner charge or 20% over face value.

We did this on another thread Cerny, and to a major extent i do agree with you. Personally i found it morally wrong to make big money like that out of other QPR fans, whether plastics or lads who can only get to one game every once in a while.

BUT, as someone else pointed out to me, if a season ticket holder has bought the right to their seat for the season then why shouldn't they be able to put it up for a price they decide. After all, if someone thinks it's too much to buy then noone puts a gun to their head to force them to buy.

I do agree with flyer, the Viagogo system needs to be looked at or else you could have the prospect of touts buying ST's just to be able to sell them on for a profit for the big games which then equates to empty seats for the smaller games.

As I said in earlier thread, I think it is a marvelous system.

I got my Swansea ticket, upper loft, for face value plus £8 or so admin charge.

It allows members get their money back, and those of us who can only make a handful of games, get to see the Rssssssss!!

Face value....or else Viagogo should be a Vianogo!

Right or wrong they are doing the same as clubs in general, £23 for Swansea same seat against the scum £45.

Nobody minds a small profit, but some of the tickets are up for obscene money. Maybe I'm in the minority but I just can't stand ticket touts. And IMHO, this is a legal version of touting.

Agree Stainesy. Albeit a bit more transparent... and thereby controllable?

Danger is, as Flyer mentioned, smartarses will snap up STs and the 6 or 7 big games will produce a huge profit which is effectively ripping off real supporters who can't afford an ST and struggle to get a decent ticket for the big games.

If I knew a season ticket holder wasn't a real R's fan I'd be inclined to separate him from his sweetmeats...<grr>

How controllable can it be though Brix. I mean, and i think this was mentioned on the other thread, how can they be sure the people buying the ticket is a Rangers supporter ?? Its all very well and good to say that IF they find out that there are Chelsea supporters in our end then they will be ejected but isn't that 'shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted' ?? Trouble could and probably WILL have taken place by then.

Personally i think it is a fantastic idea of letting people get rid of their seats if they can't make a game BUT there needs to be a cealing on the amount of profit made. And somehow (and i really don't know how this can be done) they have to be able to make sure the tickets go only to Rangers fans or even at a push neutrals.

There was a programe on BBC or C4 that showed how this company operate. Complete bunch of 'rip off' merchants. I was sad to hear that QPR were involved with such a company.
The club should 'get rid' and let the fans do it between themselves or have a better system within the club.

I would never touch that site even if we were in a champs league final and i needed a ticket.

CB they are basically a legal form of touts.
There was a girl who went to a concert and paid like 3 times as much for a ticket only to find out that they had got the first 3 rows in a bulk deal only to re sell at a high price. They also had people working at the head office with different credit cards buying up loads of tickets then re selling them. I hope someone sends TF a tweet about it.

What is the story with it Corker? Season Ticket holders put their tickets up for sale for individual games that they can't make or something?

Sorry, just read the rest of the thread and that's obviously what it is.

My first reaction was "what's the harm"? Until Sooper pointed out the potential big pitfall that's there.
