Is Dave posting on it ? I haven't seen him post for ages but I very rarely visit the Liverpool board now.

How much are they valuing him at now ?

5 GCSE's isn't anything to shout about, I have 9 and didn't even pay much attention in school my wife has 10 and they are all A or A*.

I wouldn't criticise someone if they got 5 GCSE's or less and that was the best they could do but the unfortuante truth is that most people who apply themselves find GCSE's easy barring any impairments they may have.

Dave is orchestrating the discussion. They value him at 50-55million despite the fact that only Arsenal are interested at 40million. It seems the market's valuation is incorrect and their's is correct. The comparisons with house price valuations are comical. Some of them need a new estate agent.

This post just shows you don't understand most of what they are talking about<whistle>

what's the market valuation btw? are you also stupid enough to think Arsenal's one serious offer constitutes a market representative valuation? <laugh> Please post your own assessment on that thread and not this one and derail, would love to read your explanation<ok>

I'd say Arsenal's one serious offer represents a slight over valuation as they know they have to pay over the odds to convince Liverpool to sell to a rival club. The fact that no other club has come in with an offer, any offer, makes it clear that the market outside of Arsenal, doesn't value him at £40million. A foreign club would be aware of Liverpool's reluctance to sell to a rival and come in with an offer to test Liverpool's resolve.

You can value your house at £1million as long as you want but if the best offer you get is £750k then that's what it's worth. You can take it off the market and keep telling people it's worth £1million, it doesn't get you anywhere financially though.

Obviously the difference is, as I believe MITO mentioned, your house should actually appreciate in value while footballers depreciate in value as their contracts run down.

The whole discussion is flawed but funny.

I'd contribute to the thread but am banned from posting on the Liverpool board. Perhaps I should post a dramatic leaving thread, have a 20 minute sulk and then reregister under a different name although I suspect one of the several hundred Liverpool mods would quickly ban me again.
