ow most of you know that I can spout a load of crap about many things but I am easily confused about footballers and who plays where, so.

We are today linked again with Gabby and Manny, no good with long names, and we still seem to be after Fletcher and Mceady, so.

Question one is if we get them all does that mean the end of the Johnson chase?

Question two is doe that mean the possibility of Sess leaving grows?

Question three, assuming we get them all who plays where with Sess staying and with Sess gone?

Thank you for helping an old man.

Question 1) Answer.... IMO I don't think we are in the chase for Johnson, its all tabloid talk. McGeady is a more likely target

Question 2) Answer.... Sess will leave, I am very sure about that. He does not fit into a MON 4-3-3 formation. He may have flair, but the main priority must be to build a team capable of playing. Sess does not fit.

    Question 3) Answer.... See above.

I hope that helps you out :)

I think it could line up like this:

    ...........................Mignolet...................

    Bardsley......Cuellar...........Brown.......Oshea
    ...........................Catts..........................
    ..............??????................Colback............
    McClean........................................McGeady
    .......................Agbonlahor.........................

I expect a few suprised, but IMO this is the formation we will use. The defence I reckon will be different, however CM I can see Catts and Colback playing, with somebody like Krancjar.

Although I agree to that MON may resort to that kind of formation playing some teams, however, I really hope that this is not going to be his mindset for the duration of the campaign.

For me, this is too defensive and unatractive. I'm expecting a couple of exciting signings to spruce our squad up. the above personel do not fill me with anything positive, I'm sorry to say.

Of course I will back any player who wears the red and white but I'm hoping for atrractive football this term.

I wouldn't have O'Shea at either LB or RB.
He's very good in the middle but is ineffective as a wing back.
Him and Brown should be the central pair.

Wasnt his tactic at Villa 4-4-1-1? Our current tactic

Just have the one target man and 4 attacking midfielders with one defensive?

Hasnt Sess said he is happy with us, and has unfinished business? I reckon he will stay one more season with us before moving on.

We need to be adaptable. We need people so we can play different formations... No point just playing a 4-3-3 all the time, people will catch on and create tactics to stop us. We need people who can swap sides, positions, go defensive or offensive when we go behind, or need to keep a lead, or go for the win in the last 10mins. For this we need a big squad, adaptable players, and a variation who can do different things.

Point of having 25 men in a squad is you use them. You need to train different tactics, and having player like Manu, sess, mcgeady will only help us. No point selling anyone we will need, only because they don't fit one formation, as we won't always play that one...

I personally have said since mid March I think its inevitable that Sess will not be here in August. I am both resigned and comfortable with that.

So long as we do replace good players with other good players I'm happy.

If we signed McGeady, Agbonlahor, Cuellar, Fletcher, Diame and this lad Fernandes and Sess left, I wouldn't be shedding many tears tbh.

    This 100%.

Also, although I would love Johnston to come as well, I have a feeling if we get McGeady, he will go to a top 4 club.

Sorry but the only one that really hurt me on that list is Bent. We can easily live without the others, including Sess but Bents departure ripped this club open 18 months ago and ultimately cost a manager his job. Until MoN puts it right this summer, we are still suffering his loss imo.

    waste of shirts though <grr>

    and think about this

    Mcgedey----------------------------------------Mcclean
    -----------------------Sess---------------------------------
    --------------Gyan-----------Bent-------------------------

with jones on the bench for when we need to get height for the wingers to aim for

Only a waste of shirts if you are daft enough to get their name on the back and you have to many favourites, far to fickle.
