Whats your thoughts on nedum onuoha ?

Is he really worth 8 Mllion ?
Is he better than Bardsley ?
Can we not play Bardsley at right back and look for a left back in the summer ?

Apart from the obvious wonder goal at Chelsea...has he really been better than Bardsley ?

A natural left back for me with Bardsley at right back :confused:

Mate, we've been looking for a new LB since before Ringo came back, Bardo's doing class there, I say dont fix what isn't broken.

Onuoha may not be worth 8m, but he's been integral to our season, I wouldn't risk anyone else (unless we buy a quality prem proven RB, which are very hard to find nowadays).

    I agree with Asamoah Dance,

Bardsley has looked a better player because the ability to cut inside has enhanced his game, bringing goals and opportunities, he has to stay there for me.

Onouha is a quality player, and i doubt we'd have to pay £8million anyway.

I wouldn't be against us signing a centre back who is dominant in the air, we have Turner, but without him we will always get a battering from crosses.

Ned's preferred position is in the middle, SB utilised him as a RB cos of his versatility. He's a class act and the debate about his value will go on and on but i reckon we'll get him whatever it costs and NQ will do what it takes to get him, somehow don't think it'll be £8m though, more nearer £6m.

Bardsley has been colossal at LB this season and for me has got to be streets ahead for player of the season, why switch him to RB? he's fine where he is.

The advantage of Onuoha is his versatility. He can play RB or centre, whichever we need. Right now, we need RB cover to see how Angeleri comes on. Maradona and Mourinho have both spoken well of him, but the question is if he can stand the more physical aspects of the Prem. We just don't know yet. Next year, we're going to need cover for Bramble and Turner if Mensah goes for his operation. Maybe we'll know more in May.

I think it's unfair to compare Onuoha with Bardsley. Is there anyone in the whole team as good as Bardsley this season?

Bardsley definitely my player of the season so far. He's hardly put a foot wrong. We need to keep hold of Ned. He's a fantastic athlete.

How about we go back for Johnny Evans from Man U?

Can't tell this to BillySmarts <ok> Bardo's irrelevant, and Henderson is the messiah.

You're stooping a bit low with that statement mate. I've just been reading the Henderson thread and you have taken what Billysmart said right out of context.

Billysmart is a big fan of Bardsley like the rest of us and he says so frequently in the JH thread.

i agree with this. i'd rather sign hutton and move onuoha over to the centre to compete with turner, bramble, mensah and sell ferdinand.

Bardinhio has been a revelation this season. His workrate and the amount he is committed to the club has made him one of our best players. We may need to find a stand-in, but we really need to keep Onouoha, he's extremely good at his job, and should be worth 8 mil (even though we'll probably be able to push City down on that one)
