I see Richard Dunne is being linked with Wolves. A proven Premiership centre-half like Dunne would be a welcome addition. Any other Irishmen apart from Shane Long (or Robbie Keane, we won't restart that old debate) we would like to see at Loftus Road? What about Simon Cox, he has now scored 2 in 4 appearances for Ireland. I think back to Don Givens, John Byrne, Damien Delaney (sorry for that one), etc.
Always liked him, thought City let him a go a season too soon. And I'd still pick him over the one they signed from Everton whose name escapes me, but is ****.
Ciarrai, We should have played Damien Delaney in the middle of the back four when he was at the bush.
Wolves could be strong at the back next season, i see there also in for Bassong, i wouldn't mind a bid for Upson whos out of contract, he'd be a good acquisition at the back for us,imo. Probably out of our wage scale though.
No he's a good defender, albeit not international class. He was in a very bad team last year, and had a poor season, he would add some strength and experience to our back line, play him and Connolly or Hall together, and add some much needed pace at full back, with Kenny behind them, job done!
Agreed he's a good defender but you can't keep him fit for two minutes and we'll need a steady defence next season for sure. We got away with chopping and changing to accommodate Hall this year when he turned up for his 2 matches every 3 months until Warnock decided it was better leaving him out altogether but, for me, I'd rather have slightly less able players who you know can give you 35 games per season realistically.
Hey our defence might not be that bad for the pl little bit more time on the ball and all that,im no stats man but we didnt let many in last season, and toughest league too get out of? Leave it to neil he"ll know best.
