I've said it a thousand times now, but that lad is quality. Said he wanted 20 goals in his first season. He managed 19 after injuries and terrible personal tragedy. That's pretty good if you ask me. I also think he's the type of player (along with one or two others at the club, possibly Beavon) that plays better and is more successful depending on the quality of football around him. I predict big things for him next season. Scott, you're a diamond and I'd like to thank you for the effort you've put in helping to get us up there.
All things considered Rendell has done astonishingly well. I feel that the tragedy suffered by himself and his family actually pulled everyone even more together. I'm sure if you asked the players who they dedicate promotion to it would be young Alfie Rendell. Rest In Peace little fella.
Couldnt agree more Jock. I think he will flourish in League 1 next season. Considering the year he has had personally, I think 19 goals is a mammouth effort.
I am a very empathetic person (probably something to do with my always being with animals/creatures) and I really feel for the chap. Elated at the promotion, distraught at not being able to share it with his son.
totally agree with jock ruth has had a good season and despite his personal tragedy still managed to perform week in week out and bang in 19 goals in the process.my utmost respect goes to scotty and he will be even better next season
