Just read that it will be £10 to watch the reserves at Parc-y-scarlets. Seems a bit steep for reserve games. Good fixtures but still steep. Drop the price and fill the ground. I'm sure our second-string would rather play in front of 5000-7000 than 1000+. It would be a good experience for our younger players as well. Interesting point, a prem match will cost me and my daughter £18, a reserve match will cost us £15. Add the extra fuel to Llanelli and it's the same cost?
It is a bit steep to be honest, don't know how we compare to other clubs in the premier league, shame there is no season tickets for these games, bet there will be a lot of concessions though for school kids
Good for me as it's very local, and the only chance I got for my half-brother to watch some good games. I'll probably take in 4-6 this season.
As I said about concessions, last season it was 1 paying adult and 4 kids get in for free which they ran with the schools , I would hope it would be something similar for the reserves this. Also I think we are governed in part by what the parc y Scarlets charge for using their facilities
Stupid price really, make it a fiver and properly advertise the matches and they could get 3-5000 each match.
i know it does look pricey but when i think about it then the football will actually be a better standard than the l.o.w and i dont complain paying to watch llanelli and neath when i go,....£10 is not that bad when you consider the prospect of the quality of players we could see and the cost that it would take for llanelli to stage reserve matches. im more than happy to pay £10 as its a lot better than swansea charging £25 to watch celtic at the liberty, now thats what i call a rip off for the fans....
a tenner is probaly a bit over the top to watch basically the youngster's with the odd senior pro thrown in now and again, but it's a new stadium and a lot better standard than in previous seasons, also i think it will look better for the swans from the outside playing at a proper stadium.
£10 seems peanuts for a Premier League reserve match if you compare it to prices of League One, Two, etc. If Swans reserves were a first team, what division do you think they'd fit into?
How do you get your tickets so cheap. I used to pay more than that for just one ticket when we were in the Championship.
That's not the point, they are not fully competitive matches. A fairer comparison was when they used to charge £2 for us to watch FAW matches
£10 is reasonable for a high standard competitive match,..overheads need to paid and police costs, i dont know what others charge but i would not mind betting its more than us.........you cant buy a pint for £2 these days. i think its value for money and its your choice whether you go or not......
Whatever price you set it at you will get people complaining. So if you think it's reasonable, then go. If you think it's too expensive, then don't go. Same with everything else in life.
I don't think so mate, little if anything of this money will actually go to the swans, most will go to the Scarlets IMO as they have their expenses to cover as well for the stadium.
Think i'll see what the away teams fetch to the game there is some good quality in the top sides so should be more often than not a decent standard
As has been said we'll need to pay the Scarlets X amount per game, so I think it's fairly reasonable. Less than the cost of two packs of ***s, or a couple of happy meals, or however else you could justify it. You don't get a lot for a tenner any more, so I don't think this is an unreasonable price.
A 10 bag last me about 4 or 5 spliffs dude! Haha. I just think a tenner isn't that bad. The cinema costs 6 or 7 quid these days, and most films are ****, so much better to pay a bit more and know you're supporting your club.
