Some back ground on our new players.

Kostas Mitroglou Played 12 games in the Greek League and scored 14 goals, in The CL played 5 games and scored 3 goals (a hat-trick against Anderlecht), in the WC Qualifiers scored 3 goals in the two games against Romania. In Nov 2013 he had a knee injury that kept him out till January. So will he be fit or have we bought an injured player. He has already scored four hat-tricks this season.
    - Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager
As the Greek league is less on the front of the stage, there is less talk of Mitroglou. He is discovered when playing international matches. I'm happy for him because this is a guy who has both a physical presence and a sense of finishing.... This is a true finisher. He must try to evolve to a higher level to see what he really is capable of. In any case, all the major European clubs will certainly be alert. When you look at his statistics, we cannot ignore him."

William Kvist Plays mainly DM also CM but can play fullback has played 12 times this season for Stuttgart.
Kvist has become well-renowned for his long throw-ins, Kvist, has become a key figure in the Denmark national side, was rewarded for his consistent performances with his country by being awarded the Danish Football Player of the Year in 2010. He has played with Hangeland at Copehagen FC.

Lewis Holtby has played 13 Premier games this season but 6 of those a sub, he has featured in 13 Europa games also and has played as an attacking midfield player. Also played CM and LW.
His agent 'Fulham have put much effort into Lewis. It is a very well-run club with an excellent manager in Rene Meulensteen. The system and philosophy of how Fulham play fits well with Lewis. He will have match practice in the second half of the season in his favourite position and then we'll see how things are going by the summer.'

Heitinga hasn't played much this season, his form had dipped last season Everton tried to sell him in the summer.
I've read a few comments about Heitinga being a bit of a cult figure at Everton being a hole-hearted player but also Danny Murphy describing him as "an accident waiting to happen." So it's a wait and see.

With a 2-day medical you would hope the club know everything about his condition!

Did Heitinga play in the WC final? If so that makes 2 in our team!

    Ryan Tunnicliffe

The 21-year-old has signed until the summer of 2017, with an option for a further year, following spells at Peterborough United, Barnsley and, most recently, Ipswich Town.

At Portman Road, under manager Mick McCarthy, Tunnicliffe made 27 Championship appearances, helping the club’s push for promotion.

He tweeted: “Delighted to have joined #FFC. It was a tough decision to leave #Mufc given I've been there since the age of 9 but the opportunity to work Rene Meulensteen, a coach I hugely admire again, along with the chance to play Premier League football was too good to turn down."

Ryan, of course, worked was at Old Trafford when Rene was a coach and Tunnicliffe an academy star.

If we do go down Cole and Tunnicliffe might provide a bit of class in the Championship that we might not be able to attract in the summer. I've not seen much of either of them. I presume they won't be in the first team squad very often this season, otherwise we've got 6 players competing for two central midfield slots.

I have a sneaky feeling that Rene may throw these guys straight into the mix. They may be young but against utd they will have a big advantage, they have training against and with the utd team. A midfield 3 of kvist, tunnicliffe and Holtby would be a big gamble but may give us energy that Rene keeps talking of. There is something a miss with dj at the moment, something not to do with football I think, and we do not have another proper right winger. Larnell cole would fill this void. It is possible all of them could start. Heitinga is right footed so I could see him start it's burn or hangers:

    Stekkers

    Riether
    Hangeland
    Heitinga
    Richardson

    Kvist
    Tunnicliffe

    Cole
    Holtby
    Kaka

    Mitroglou.

Who knows, if so then, Rene is calling the shots for sure
