Suppose Scholes, Nani and Anderson do leave at the end of the season.

3 positions up for grabs in the overall squad.

    Get a CM like Wanyama.
A winger in Zaha is already coming.

Strikers and defenders we are all sorted: Fabio and Henriquez returning from loan.

I already consider Powell part of our first squad as he is already on the bench all the time.

I hope another place is left to promote one of our youth into the team. Adnan J. is one who SAF has mentioned along with Powell as being already at first team level. He is part of the upcoming Belgian flair cream and I hope we see more of him next season.

P.S. Do you guys think the Keane brothers and junior captain Petrucci will be pushing for first team soon?

I think we'll see some youth play at the end of this season assuming we wrap the title up early, but I think a lot of the young players will get their chances next season.

I'm not sure we should sell Anderson yet. Assuming Scholes retires, and who knows what's going to happen with Darren Fletcher, and the. Anderson leaves, we'd have 3-4 CM spots to fill. The 4 is including the one we currently need now. I feel that's a bit too many players coming in and out of a single position who'd most likely have to adapt to the Premier league and/or Manchester United. That would wear us a bit thin at CM.

Another section of the old guard that will be moving on soon is the defense. Evra, Vidic, and Rio are all on the wrong side of 30, with Rio most likely being the first to go. Evra seems to have a Giggs quality about him and I can see him playing into his late 30s. Vidic's recent knee injuries may take their toll, as he can't seem to play in consecutive games. It may be out of precaution, or he might be able to physically recover that quickly. Question is, are Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Michael Keane, Scott Wooten, Fabio, and Buttner good enough?

Evans has had a fantastic season, and was great after his nightmare against city last year, but has disappeared recently due to minor injuries and the return of Vidic along with the form of Rio. Jones and Smalling both have the potential to be our first choice CB pairing for the next 15 years, but can't seem to stay fit. Is this an area we should bring more competition in to push players harder?

Fabio hasn't done anything at QPR to merit a place at United yet. His brother has been the best RB in the league this year after 2 years of being first choice at RB. Would Fabio be able to duplicate if he were given a chance? It's hard to say because how many more opportunities Rafael has gotten since he joined the club because the spot was up for grabs. Buttner has done well, but I'm not sure if he'll ever be more than 2nd choice at United.

So should we look to bring in more young talented defenders with potential (18-20ish)? Do we bring in maybe players who are young, but established (20-25ish)? Or do we make do with what we have now?

    Just some food for thought.

Adnan is a dream to watch along with Jesse Lingard, Tom Thorpe is great young centre back and Tunnicliff looks very promising. The Keane brothers may just need another year but you may see Petrucci in the last few games if we wrap it up quick.
