Did anyone ask for opinions from those of us who use this site before bringing rep back? It seems to me there's more consideration given to those that left rather than those of us who stayed loyal to this site.
I don't use it at all but it doesn't bother me if others use it? Maybe I should check it out though as my character may well have been assassinated
No asking of opinions at all, see no reason why we should TBH, is ignoring something you can see so hard and what attracting people is important.
Well you can't be surprised when people who don't like it leave. To say just ignore it is a feeble response. It's there in your face on every post you make...Little green/red flags..Rep power...Tags. It's all ****.

Its a sad state of affairs if you have to have gimmicks to attract new members, its a sports forum, if they dont want to join and take part unless there is silly gimmicks, **** em.

My empire, how do you work that out, I talk with Mick about ways of attracting and keeping member's, its how the forum grows. You think we should ask all 15,000 members every time we decide to try something. We do discuss it with the mods to gauge things and I honestly am shocked at this reaction.
all i see is that when Humble,5-1, badger and the like come on wumming if you give them it backy they assassinate your rep that's why the like it, and they all leave stinky remarks. i had 6 rep points when it came back, i gave 5-1 **** back and within 10 mins my rep had gone, I thought it was a tool to show respect for your posting peers, not a vengeance tool which is what mags use it for. there for neg rep should only be allowed on your own board, and not a sniping tool used by juvenile mags.
Syd I know you cant win, i just see this as a few whinging mags goiing away and you trying to get them back. Not got a clue how any of it will get new members as they will have to register to see it anyway, and most wont give a crap (like a lot of us). tbh i dont really give a crap, think i have done 5 posts in the past month, just dont care enough anymore to post, and usually when i do its just to play devils advocate. As you know I run my own site, Forums in general are a dieing breed, its all FB/Twitter crap these days, and i dont think there is anything anyone of us can do about it.
Many of the mods ask for help in attracting new members and keeping old ones.Every board is very different in what they like and I promise that its not just Newcastle fans who like rep and lots more like tags. The complaint was always who said it and what can I do about it. I suggested rep and tags to Mick just to give something back because we had taken a lot away, Mick said he could do it but take away the anonymous bit so we tried it. So far a few old members have come back on a few boards, its a tool for those who like it and that's all it is. If it works great, if not it will go and yes, the Newcastle board is a board I am trying to help, it helps their mods so that's fine. I may well have horrible rep, I honestly don't look, not my thing.
As I've stated; my main gripe with rep was the anonymous **** that used to be posted...As that has now been addressed I don't see it as a problem, although I will not use it...
Is it a harmless gimmick when someone asks me, "where's your wife"? Or tells Roger they hope he get's cancer? I made my feelings on it clear. It was ****e, still is ****e & always will be ****e. The Mag's didn't leave because of the rep thing, they left because of GC raping their board & quite frankly didn't blame them for some of the ****e they posted on there. Mick gave them the GC uncut thing & the twats wont use it. They post animal & gay porn on football boards where children may see it.
