What is it and how do you earn it? Not606 confuses me, its like people have full time jobs in this website. Better than the dark side though obviously.

Basically showing your reputation on this site!
If another member deems your post worthy of receiving good (or possibly bad) reputation they can do so by clicking that little black star thingy just underneath your post and give it either positive or negative reputation.

many forums do it. just a bit something extra to do. so you can give positive or negative 'feedback' to peoples posts and views i imagine

or something along those lines. ha.

After 50 posts you get 1 rep power, from there idk how many posts you need to make or rep you have to receive for the next levels.

I think your rep power goes up every 10 positive reps. Sooo rep power 2 at 20 points, 3 at 30 points etc. Checking my points in the settings menu it says I have 15 points.
But that's just speculation. I have no idea. Educated guesses and all that!

Think 50 posts take you from Newbie to Member and 100 posts take you to Senior Member, not sure though.

Rep power is awarded to you by fellow posters for the comments you make.

If you're in Manchester, don't you have a lot of colleagues that support Man Utd? If they're drivng up on the 16th Apr ( at the moment anyway ) would they bring you up with them for the game?

I know 3 United supporters at uni, one's a regular Old Trafford goer, and I think the other two are just glory supporters.
One of my housemate's sisters has friends that are Newcastle supporters too, and my housemate's family are actually from Newcastle/Sunderland too. My mum is also a United fan. (A Newcastle fan, a Leeds fan and a Man U fan in the same house... match days were fun as a child I can assure you)
A journey up is definitely on the cards soon, but unsure about the United game. I think I'll actually be in my hometown of Lincoln (woo) then anyway.

I also have a terrible secret I'm afraid to tell you all...

If Lincoln is your hometown it's ok if you're an Imp, you can go ahead and say it.

Nahh, far from it, don't worry.
I'm from Lincoln, which is nowhere really, midlands, the boring zone.
EDIT; Still proud to be an Imp! I'm all for local support, don't you worry.

14 years of being an avid Newcastle fan and I am yet to visit St. James. Shocking, I know.
My parents had extreme difficulty being able to arrange for me to go when I was a child, what with my dad being the only person in my family able to take me, and he worked constantly anyway. I am also the only Newcastle supporter out of all of my friends so had no one to go with when I became old enough to travel such a distance on my own.
It really is gutting, because it's the one thing I want to do most in the world, and the one place I'd love to visit.
Now I know more Newcastle fans though after moving to uni, and more fans of just general football, I'm definitely organising something soon.
As much as I fell in love with the club as a kid, as much as I constantly follow and support them from home, I'll never really feel like a proper fan until I actually go.

That, and my mum owns a picture of me in a Manc shirt when I was 2. I was forced, honestly. I believe I destroyed the picture several years ago. [/embarrassment]

Surprising how many people up here you see with Man Utd tops on, never been to the ground before but wear the shirt. Just can't understand it.

I can understand your position Acid-Hippo. I've never been to St James' either and i've been supporting for nearly 40 years. Like you i don't come from the north east (i'm from Guernsey) and i don't have any Toon supporting friends. I could have made it there under my own steam but i think of going to football as a social event and i don't really want to go on my own. Like you my failure to go gives me doubts about whether that makes me a real fan or not, but in truth only we know the depth of our support. I know that i follow the club avidly and have never waivered and if you feel the same that is enough for me.

I have had extreme difficulty though, so ya know. As a kid I just resigned myself to the fact I'd have to wait. I stuck with the club through everything though, no matter what, as all of us did. I wonder how many Manc fans up there would have done that if they went through what we did.

Anyway, my visions dwindling so I'm off for snoozing. I look forward to a day of decent football conversation tomorrow.

I'm also useless at travelling at my own, and just couldn't afford it, so I just literally wouldn't make it, and to be on my own in a such a crowd..I'd feel pretty lost. Yet I can imagine at the same time it wouldn't matter. Some friendly banter with those around would suffice.

Got our first view of Kuqi today, just came on for a cameo role but I think he'll do quite well.
