    In Glasgow, don't buy a flat - rent one (unless it's a really expensive one).

    Don't rent a house if you can buy one.

    Re-selling flats is a nightmare just now.

    Differs city by city, though <ok>

    On the one hand, the british economy is ****ed because so much wealth is tied up in property. Plus a mortgage will hang around your neck for a lifetime. On the otherhand, do u want to spend the rest of ur life handing over half ur wages to some chiselling shyster landlord? On balance, the pikies arent daft.
