We have apparently been offered Remy on a 6 month loan. Him and Austin together with Riviere going out on loan would make my year and lift my clouds.
He [Remy] has asked for a week to think it over. We all know where this is heading. Austin will end up staying in London. Just wait.
Not whilst Graham Carr is in charge of transfers. He pulls one out over French players. Obsessive Francophile with an unhealthy interest in young Frenchmen.
The scenario reminds me in my inexperienced days trying to persuade a girl with amazing tits etc to stay around when she'd clearly decided it was time to experiment with other tools. Seriously tell remy to **** off and he might come.
For me, we tell the likes of Remy... you have 48 hours or we forget about a deal. We can't have one player affecting our transfer plans so much. We don't wanna sit back wasting transfer deadline time for a player who doesn't immediately want to come to us...... or then again... if you are MA maybe you do.....
SImple really. We are offering Remy a chance to play regularly, score goals and get back in the France squad. We should be dictating terms, not him. He can either take our offer or leave it.
Give him until Wednesday to make his mind up. Tell him to piss off otherwise. He'll come running back since he's not part of Chelsea's plans.
I don't like Remy but he is a good player. If we can get him in on loan we should do it. We don't have to like him and vice versa but if he can get the goals then its a win win for both parties. Could we persuade Demba Ba to come back? We are linked with Remy, Austin and Carrol. I would have any one of these three over Mitro at the moment. I still honestly think our main problem is in midfield and not up front. We need some players who can control a game. This two defensive midfielders is basically just inviting pressure. GG
We need to give Arma a go when he's ready, or when the team isn't mired in relegation trouble, or when we actually become a progressive team with a decent manager.
Newcastle United and progressive don't go together under Ashley unfortunately. That fat useless toad is too busy counting his Sports Direct billions whilst ****ing over pics of Lee Charnley's equally fat arse.
Ever the comedian... Seriously though it is true that the best time to blood youngsters is when things are going well.
I'd take Remy back even if it is as a stepping stone for him again. He can get a bigger move in the summer as long as he keeps us in the league. If he keeps us up then hopefully we can take Austin on a free in the summer. Allows us to gamble on waiting for Austin if we can get Remy for remainder of season. I can't see Austin leaving now, nor would I criticise him for waiting. All that may tempt him is thought of making the Euros.
Remy only left because he THOUGHT he could do better but clearly he reached his level. He could come back and make an impact and you never know might actually stay this time!
