    Never to be forgotten <rose>

I was at the Scrogg Road War Memorial in Walker this morning.
It was heartening to see the number of people that were out for the lads and lasses on the parade.
    Did Walker Proud. <ok>
Also the first time I've seen my oldest marching on remembrance day.

Saw all the poppies at the Tower of London last week. Was incredible. A truly amazing sight but really brings it home when you try to picture each one being a fallen soldier. With so many lives lost, it makes it hard not to feel choked up seeing that.

Saw an old soldier today in the pub. All medalled up. I know my militaria and this chap had seen serious WW2 action.

Sent him a pint over with the barman with a simple message... 'thanks'.

Look on the blokes face warmed my heart.

Let us also remember all the young people who have lost their lives in the recent conflicts. And those who have been disabled. without them we would have no freedom that we all take for granted. TRUE HEROES every one.

    We will never forget.
We owe soldiers everywhere an unfathomable debt.
